Which spectator was he counting on hitting? If he’s THAT good of a shot why doesn’t he try aiming the puck at the net.
A thread that screams out for Laz!
Not good to have your wife spittin’ chiclets.
what are the odds?

Of all the luck: Denard Span hits his own mother with foul ball [Yahoo Sports]
Okay, if he hit the crossbar and the puck deflected into the stands... What was his wife doing sitting anywhere near the endzone seats? Couldn’t he score any better tickets for his wife in his home arena?
The post game interview went like this:
Q: I understand the puck hit a spectator.
A: I hope they are okay. You know if the fans want to get that close to the game, that’s the risk they take. Can’t get much closer than a puck in the face! Ha. Ha.
Q: I understand the spectator was your wife.
A: Oh no! Is she okay? Sorry guys but I have to cut this one short and check on her.
In some states that is grounds for spousal assault - NO MITIGATING evidence allowed. There are times when the law is an ass (99% of the time it appears!)
Oh my goodness, that would be me and husband if he played hockey. When we were a young married couple and he was playing softball for his Coast Guard station (and I was about 7 or 8 months pregnant)- he hit me with a softball in the head. Wild throw, tipped the first baseman’s glove and popped me in the head. It was funny. After about 10 minutes. Haha. His CO and XO would never let him live that one down.
That would be penalty box, Bob. That is, if she's a real hockey fan.
I think a major league baseball player once hit his mother in the stands with a foul ball.
Is it spousal abuse to puck your wife in public?
