SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. -- In what was apparently a phone prank that has taken place in other parts of the country, a motel guest said someone called his room and told him to smash the things inside in order to free a "midget" trapped next door.

You know, I wondered why on earth the motel switchboard was putting all these calls through in the first place? It is not like these punks could call strait into the rooms. These calls can be screened. What about caller ID? No way to trace this call by now? Not even the FBI?
