An Algiers woman was arrested after police say she shot a teenage boy she caught in her daughter's bedroom early Monday morning.
Letischa Collins, 35, was booked with aggravated battery after she shot the 16-year-old boy in the stomach inside her home in the 3000 block of Wabash Street shortly before 1:30 a.m. The injured boy was taken to a local hospital where he was in stable condition, according to New Orleans police, who did not release the victim's name.

Aim lower next time.
Can someone translate that for me?
If the kids are old enough to have sex, they are old enough to move out and live on their own.
I believe that is the phrase formerly known as, “hot to trot”.
Impossible to tell if she came into the room firing, or if she drew in self-defense when threatened by a male who was bigger and stronger than herself.
That's a fate worse than death.
hot in the tail = perpetually horny
Oh, come on...
Oh, come on...
Agreed, but you can't shoot them when they don't listen. That's just a step too far.
Why can’t you shoot a stranger in your daughter’s bedroom at 1:30 in the morning...?
Apparently you aren’t allowed to scare them either, isn’t a cop in CA threatened with losing his job for pretending to arrest a guy who was having sex with his 14 year old daughter?
That kid needed a beating.
Interesting. Will they be able to prosecute her successfully if she claims that she thought he was a burglar?
Or, what may even be the truth, that she demanded that he leave her house, but that he threatened or attacked her instead?
Of course, she’s shooting her lunch ticket, since an extra baby in the house means more welfare, probably.
Back in the day we went to the drive-in, or down to the Old Wharf to watch the submarine races.
Kids are either getting dumber or more brazen.
Borrow a couple of bucks from friends and get a room.
Sounds to me like she needs to sight in her gun. I’m guessing it shoots a little high...
I CAN'T?
Darn it! Thanks to you I'm going to have to completely revise my parenting strategy...
;-)
She love you long time.
It doesn't sound like this kid was much of a stranger - at least to the daughter.
The article says this Mom was at work and came home to find the 16 year old there.
