Right about here.

He should have remembered the 11th commandment. But he didn't and now he's going to pay the price for his actions.

I don’t respond to FReep-mails when there is no reason for a private message. Don’t waste your time again.

Because he is actively trying to sabotage Christine’s campaign and help Coon’s campaign by not criticizing him, and there is a LOT to criticize. He is behaving like a spoiled little brat who didn’t get his way, that is far from cool objective political analysis.

Hate, of course not, disrespect, absolutely!

You don’t know much about Rove. Genius? Architec?

Rove managed a campaign in 2004 that made what should have been a landslide against a traitorous dilettante and turned it into a near loss.

He had no clue as to how to respond to the Bush National Guard fiasco and it almost became the deciding factor in a close race. He was rescued by the Swiftboaters and some Bush Guard buddies. He had what was at the time a highly successful and victorious war president, and failed to capitalize on it.

Rove is a loser who is now leading the good life in a media world where losers are rewarded - Rove, Dick Morris, Bob Beckel,Huckabee

I don’t hate Karl Rove once I understood his point about O’Donnell not being able to win the seat in Delaware. He is all about winning control in the senate.

Can anyone here guaranty she will win? I would LOVE for her to win, and HATE for her to lose because if she loses, the nation is affected, not only Delaware. I think that is what Rove was trying to say. It’s the numbers and the power of the ruling party to get bills passed or trashed and who controls what gets to the floor, and whatever else they do. That’s the big picture.

Funding her campaign is good, but getting people who voted for Biden for how many years to vote for a conservative will take a miracle. No?

To me, Rove’s comments after Christine won were ad hominum, petulant and snarky. A flavor of ‘How dare O'Donnell. Palin and the Tea Party do this TO ME.’ The overwhelming thoughts and comments afterword's show that I'm not alone in my assessment.

My date qualifies ;-)

Certainly Karl has put in yeoman’s service for The Cause over the years. Won’t begrudge him that.

Folks don’t hate him here, they think he is wrong-headed and in error in persisting in party-line actions and party-line/ good-ole-boy loyalties over principles. Many feel he has betrayed what the Republican party and the conservative movement is supposed to be about and stand for. AND the way he has been so vitriolic is just plain wrong. He is providing ammunition for the opposing party.

Lastly, he hasn’t justified WHY he is FOR Castle — a man who has persistently, poorly represented what conservative VOTERS want. Lotsa folks here feel/believe Castle DESERVED to be voted out. Rove obviously doesn’t.

Therein lies a big part of the rub.

Principles and passions around them are what is driving ‘Republican’ (actually conservative) energy and turnout. The Republican Party, and what it seems to stand for is *NOT* what has folks sooooo ready to vote.

I am curious, aside from his honorable track record, which I DO appreciate, why SHOULD we come to Rove’s defense for his current actions and words?

Frankly sir/madam, I have no reason to owe any allegiance to a man I don’t know. I can only base my opinion of him on what I see and hear.

Quite frankly, his behavior gives me no reason to like him. I don’t hate him, but he has lost any respect I might have had for him. Mr. Rove seems to be unaware that what has happened since Obama is not politics as usual. If we had trust in his ilk we would leave the work of saving America to his type.

The people are no longer willing to leave this country in the hands of the ruling class.

They have failed miserably and have lost all credibility.

I’d say that Rove is the one who came down...on the wrong side of the liberal/conservative wall and I believe it is because his income derives from the “established” GOP which is getting its butt kicked.

Karl was all wee wee'd up because the people didn't listen to his direction. He makes his living helping people get elected, and people proved him wrong in his judgment. He looked ridiculous. "She threw it all away to make me look ridiculous. A MAN IN MY POSITION CANNOT AFFORD TO BE MADE TO LOOK RIDICULOUS!" Rove put himself and his livelyhood above that of country.

That is why I hate Rove right now.

Cue severed horse head in Rove's bed.

It is not evidence of a commitment to “intellectual discussion” that you are so dismissive of FReepers who have only joined in the last decade or so.

That is evidence of a shallow, biased mind not given to “intellectual discussion.”

As for Mr. Rove, I don’t hate him but I do detest his election night diatribe against O’Donnell. Contrary to your assertion, that was not merely about “picking winners” — he went off on a fact-challenged emotional rant which could only serve the interests of those who want to elect Coons.

Because he spent more time and vitriol trashing and undermining a conservative candidate in 3 minutes than he did in ten years with the REAL enemies to America: ALL the Democrats and libs, Ted Kennedy, Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, etc.etc.etc.

Any more brilliant questions, Einstein?

Tuesday night. He was arrogant and condescending. He was insulting by implying I had no right to make my own decisions. How dare we country class rise up against our chosen betters. I do NOT appreciate being treated like that.

So, to answer your question: TUESDAY NIGHT.

I had to actually look at my account to check my “join” date since it’s not something I’ve ever been particularly concerned with and I found out that it’s November 9, 2000? Does that disqualify me to comment on FR?

"I beg your pardon... I never promised you a Rove garden"

Srsly, Mr. Rove could redeem himself very quickly by being contrite and then by offering his services to candidate O'Donnell at no charge. If he were to help her beat Coons, all us Freepers would suddenly love him.

But he better hurry though. The window for contrition is not very wide and will only remain open a short time.

No hate for him from this quarter. Actually, I think he did her a favor by attacking her...no way she could have raised over a million dollars in a few days without the exposure. I also think that Rove has helped her certain election as a Sen.
Question is Did he mean to help her? I am leaning towards not. And, until I find out different, my open invitation for Rove to visit at home me is on hold. That will teach him.

That’s it? You’re going to let all this go unanswered? You post an initial question and an initial provocative assertion and then what? Nothing more from you?

I’ll wait until you respond to some of the others before I weigh in. Believe me when I tell you: I’ve got a LOT to say.
