REAT FALLS, Mont. – A pig wrestling competition at a county fair in northern Montana has been canceled after the porkers eluded fair officials trying to round them up for the event.

Fair office manager Shirley Embleton says the wild pigs spend the year on a 10-mile free-range property along the Marias River and about 30 are captured the Friday of the scheduled event.

But this year, fair officials were only able to locate one boar, despite flying the river. ..

My bro's 6 pigs wanted to be "free range" when they were due for the chop shop. He chased them all over the place.

My dad came out. Made a "feed" trail to the truck and went and had a beer while watching the pigs one by one, go into the truck.

Come on down to My neck of the woods.
We are all the time either seeing boar and ferile pigs.
They’re tearing up the swales along the taxi ways or doing in ones yard/ WE fear damage on the runway as it can take out a plane.
WE shoot at least 20 a year and don’t even make a dent.
Flying low and slow you can spot more of them than Gators.

Oh boy, rasslin (sic) feral pigs (after a year of free range, they are feral)...is this a great country or what?

Problem is, not finding them does not bode well for the future...just ask what a big pig population can do to the environment.

My state asks hunters to kill all they can...don't even have to process them, just leave the meat to rot if you wish.

Pigs is tough and smart, though hunting them is fun. 8^)

Recently met a prospective client at his citrus ranch near Zolfo Springs (west of Sebring). He told me they shoot as many as 20 a week sometimes. I guess the pigs wreak havoc on the low hanging grapefruit and oranges.

Depending on the size of these pigs, this could turn into a real “Hold muh beer” moment.

Not really,
What the pigs do is root around in the dirt looking for grubs. Little fat white worms.
A large 400 pounder will tear up 2 acres in a night. a passel of little ones the same.
Also we take hard feed corn, soak it in water for three days then bait traps for the beasts.
BUT it is sure fun running through the wetlands chasing them and shooting them.
Once in a while they’ll hunt you.

Maybe the pigs are reposing in wolf bellies, cougar bellies, bear bellies?
