During the presidential campaign, the uber-lefty New Yorker magazine mocked the concerns of common-sense Americans with its cover portraying Barack Obama and his charming wife as a pair of anti-American radicals. The framed portrait of Osama bin Laden, the burning American flag, Obama dressed as an Arab -- Democrat elites found it all hilarious.

Now that the President has endorsed a radical imam's plan to build a huge mosque at Ground Zero, It's now so funny now, is it?

It isn’t funny to us. We care about our Country AS IT WAS FOUNDED. But I don’t think The New Yorker, et al, really give a darn. In fact, they are probably all for it, like the rest of the media. If they have had a change of heart, I haven’t heard about it.

Maybe the 08 election would have turned out differently, if someone in the debates had asked Barry if he endorsed the building of a mosque on the hallowed grounds of the World Trade Center.

Perhaps. But unless she is like Bob Dole or John McCain and will be happy to be a trivia question given on Jeopardy! 2020 under presidential losers, she's in a jam. If she beats Obama in the primary, 25% of the Democrat base is more inclined to stay home or vote present. As things now stand, she can only win the Democrat primary by dooming them in the general election. That is the downside of being a party presently structured around identity politics.

I remember back in 2008 when that article came out from the NEW YORKER and the Liberals and MSM had a cow over it.
The one's who were laughing we us conservatives because sometimes in life humor speaks the truth.
The reason why the liberals and the MSM were having a cow over this picture is because it spoke the truth.

I hope you are right because she has accomplished nothing
in all of her years. I believe there would be a massive cross over vote for Clinton in the primaries. Just to rid ourselves of the incompetent Muslim currently in the W.H.

The polls on the mosque issue are very bad for Obama. They are running about 69% against the mosque and only 28% in favor. Among Democrats alone, about 54% oppose the mosque.

The president waded into a hornet’s nest on this one. With much of his own party against him, what will happen?

Maybe the MSM will downplay this story.
