Actually, the Swiss were overrun by the French during the Napoleonic Wars in 1798. Wound up getting fought back and forrth over by the French, Austrians and Russians (!). The Russkies may have been lost.
Didn’t get their full freedom back till 1814. And then it was essentially given to them by the European powers who had just defeated Napoleon, they didn’t win it for themselves by fighting.

bingo....I shoot with Brits and others from across the pond in my SASS club and at our range...they appreciate the freedoms we have here, more than, in some cases, natural born citizens, who want some freedoms, then vote with their ‘union’, to destroy those same freedoms....to buy that pound of flesh.
