There seems to be a tactic used by many here and elsewhere to mock Sarah Palin as some kind of messiah figure because she has a lot of fans. This is not only wrong, this is disgusting.
Sarah Palin has never presented herself as an Obama type figure that wants to be seen as a savior. She has been polite and decent on the national stage. She has treated people around this country very good in her time on the national stage.
Yet, some people talk about her as an object or a piece of trash. We have someone around here who calls Sarah Palin "precious" and another person who calls her "Minnie Pearl".
I want some of those out there who mock her on a daily basis to stop and think... Sarah Palin is real human being. And how would Sarah Palin treat you ?
Here is a woman who never had to serve in government, she did by choice. She doesn't have to fight for our country on the national stage, she is doing so by choice. I don't think anyone can question how much Sarah Palin loves America. She loves our troops. She is one of us. She is right on the money with most of her positions on the issues. She sued the federal government so that we could have a right to drill in ANWR for goodness sake. How big of a help would that be to this country if we could use our own energy resources ?
So please, somebody tell. What did Sarah Palin do to be mocked ? What did Sarah Palin do to be mocked as a sock puppet on this site ? What did she do to deserve the hate ?
Again, Sarah Palin is a real person who is a patriot who loves and her country.

The deck is so stacked against her with the MSM. Forgive us if we think it is wrong for conservatives to pile on someone. A person needs support and someone to stick up for them. We are trying to even things out in reguards to the attacks.
Sarah Palin is one of us. that is why we see her that way.
You aren’t helping her cause (and your cause) if you refuse to acknowledge legitimate critique. I’m not talking about hate, but policy disagreements. I don’t care if it feel like salt in your wounds or not. It’s not about you. If you guys want Sarah to be a contender for POTUS, you’ll have to nut up and be able to steer her onto the right track. Personally, out of all the “front runners” for 2012, I’m leaning towards her, but it’s not very enthusiastic. It speaks more about her opponents than her own characteristics. I would like to see her buff up her conservative and libertarian (small-L) credentials so I could feel better about supporting her. But every time I see a “LEAVE SARAH ALONE!!!!1!1!” rant, it just turns me off.
I have a feeling the left will try to create a demigod out of her, all to get the people stirred up again about worship, which is exactly what some 50 million voters were, they were worshiping idiots.
But Obama will come along with his floating tiger special effects crew and will throw a bigger Roman toga party, will be throwing money out in the streets to the people and will work on slogans to get back the women and youth of the country.
Yes Obama and his operatives may do just that, put Sarah Palin upon a pedestal first, create an image for people to worship because they really really do have to worship something and then the Obama team will topple the statue, they will make Sarah into something she isn’t and then they will do a nationwide MSM approach telling America that Sarah Palin had it all planned to become this false god.
I get a sense of a feeling that there is a relation to some recent movies out, Perseus and the Gods of Olympus, I think the Obama creators are going to try and manipulate this against America. To use mythology against Sarah Palin.
So it's your position that she is to be immune from all critique on FR? And you wonder why people start framing the supporters as worshipers?
No. I am talking about the unfair attacks and the mocking.
Some freepers have already started on that. We all know who they are with their conservative see through mask.
Some people just care about what that person is wearing. When the pictures of Sarah were posted with a bear in the background recently, I commented on it because it was a pretty darn cool picture. I guess everyone supports someone in their own way. I go by if I agree with what they are saying, not how they are dressed. Nothing wrong with people criticizing her when they don’t agree when she does something. Sometimes criticism is the best thing, but I’ve read a few threads by people on this forum who have been downright nasty towards her, that is why I mentioned the DU and Daily Kos, because the way that they would post, calling her names like “Amnesty Queen” and other ridiculous names(some too nasty to even repeat), reminds me of crap that a Democrat would say, or a progressive. I don’t support Romney, but I’d never bash him like that. I don’t know him enough to really trash him LOL
Don’t try to convince anyone about Sarah. Believe me, they all know her achievements, her ethics, her character - and they hate her according to their own individual hangups.
And comparing her to RINO’S isn’t fair to the RINO’S or her.
I’ll say this much. If she ever does get elected, I hope she’s half the leader you think she is.
Why do you keep repeating the same lie over and over? What Newt did was ugly enough without you stretching the truth. She was being treated for cancer. It was not fatal. She did not die. Hence, she was not dying of [sic] cancer or anything else for that matter.

Twisting our standards? LOL Personal stuff? Like watching from a distance a conservative being trashed every which way by the media non stop for almost two years? And how the conservative handles herself unbelievable well in all these situations and remains a vital voice in spite of the wretched media.

You bet - I'll sing her praises every damn day if I want to. A private citizen using her platform for the good of our country. Can't think of one politician that could have handled all the criticism, investigations, etc like she has. Now you know why the rest of the 'possible candidates' are RINO'S - it protects them from being attacked - it's about their career, not our country.
For someone who is baffled why I think about her supporters, you sure are telling me a lot of what you think.
She's everything the left CLAIMS they want in a woman, but the thing is, she got there doing everything they are against. Which is why their crap about being for "strong women" is just that, crap--they're only for strong LIBERAL women. They have claimed for decades to be non-partisan, in support of women who have careers outside the house or who stay at home. But they're not, they ONLY for women who are LIBERAL and make those choices. And Palin's success drives them nuts because everytime she's on that TV she's reminding American women they don't have to buy into the lib crap to be whatever they want.

Some of her endorsements may be puzzling...but, you can’t deny that they’ve been interesting.
She is an American, politicians are something else.

That’s not true. I posted something positive about her...not a worship thing, just something positve. You proceeded to tell me that she won’t be asking me to lunch, and some other things along the same lines...pretty much coming outright and saying I was a religious follower of hers.
And, that’s just because I posted something positive about her, and pinged you to the thread because you were so negative.
