We heard a loud sound and wondered what it was. Could have been an earthquake.
I’m in Lutherville. Same thing. Woke me out of a sound sleep.
Was just on channel 7 news as well but hey are investigating since they’ve received a number of calls.
Didn’t feel anything here in Southern, MD.

About 5:05am in Northern Virginia, there was general shaking, but no damage. Power is still on.
Interesting. Thanks for posting. I used to drive near or through Mount Airy from Michigan on my way 4th of July baseball tournaments in Greensboro, NC every summer for several years in the ‘90’s with the youth teams I coached. Wasn’t that the birthplace or home of Andy Griffith?
Well, if it was an earthquake, do what they do in California and call the police, to let them know about it.
Seriously - you get thrown around the room, so you turn on the radio, and you here: “and police are getting reports of an earthquake...”. It’s like the people think that police stations have some special suspension system that prevents them from feeling the things. LOL.
Move to California!
