This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for a Hometown Hero to fly with the Thunderbirds at the 30th anniversary of the California International Airshow, October 2-3, 2010.
This "Hometown Hero" is someone who has gone above and beyond to do something for his or her community. If this describes someone you know, then continue reading and then scroll down the page and fill out their name and information, plus tell us why they should awarded the "Hometown Hero Flight" with the Thunderbirds.
Nominations will be accepted until July 16th. Five finalists will be chosen by the California International Airshow Salinas and will receive 4 flight deck tickets to the airshow for either Saturday or Sunday. One of the 5 will be chosen for a ride of a lifetime, a flight with USAF Thunderbird in the F-16C Fighting Falcon on Thursday September 30th
The "Hometown Hero" finalist selected by the Thunderbirds will receive four tickets to the flight deck and will be able to choose from either Saturday or Sunday. Again, all nominations must be received by July 16, 2010.
In order to fly with the thunderbirds the finalist must pass a medical, height, and weight screening. The absolute minimum and maximum weights for fliers are between 103 and 245 pounds. The maximum height is 6'5'' and the flier must be under 55 years-old. The nominee must pass all medical, height, and weight requirements to be eligible, so click here for a full list of restrictions.
That would be a mighty cramped ride.

There you go!
Under Obama as Commander-in-Chief, you’d have to remove the gun from that guys hand, or it better not be loaded.
LOL — that is GREAT!
Thanks for a badly-needed laugh tonight :)
