We need to keep an eye on him. I liked what he said, his attitude, and what appeared to be his beliefs.

“Lieutenant Colonel Allen West (US Army, Retired) was born and raised in Atlanta Georgia and is third of four generations of military servicemen in his family. His parents instilled in him a very basic principle, love of God and Country. In 2004, when it was time to retire from more than twenty years of service in the US Army, he brought his wife and two young daughters to Broward County, Florida, where he taught high school for one year. He then returned to Afghanistan as an advisor to the Afghan army, an assignment he finished in November 2007.
Allen West received his Bachelors degree from University of Tennessee and Masters degree from Kansas State University, both in political science. He received his valor award as a Captain in Desert Shield/Storm, was the US Army ROTC Instructor of the Year in 1993, and was a Distinguished Honor Graduate III Corps Assault School. He proudly wears the Army Master parachutist badge, Air Assault badge, Navy/Marine Corps parachutist insignia, Italian parachutist wings, and German proficiency badge (Bronze award).
Allen is an avid distance runner, a PADI Master certified SCUBA diver, motorcyclist, and attends Community Christian Church in Tamarac Florida.
Excellence is a West family tradition. His wife, Angela, holds an MBA and PhD. and works as a financial planner. His oldest daughter, Aubrey, attends Archbishop McCarthy HS and his youngest daughter, Austen, attends Parkway Christian School.”
From what I hear, it's a tough race. District ‘tends Dem.’ Anyone have any numbers on where he stands?

I would be proud to vote for a patriot like Colonel Allen West. The scumbag we have in the WH now is a disgrace, an world wide embarrassment.

He is awesome because he is a man in full, a real father figure, a conservative, and an honest to goodness hero. Put another way, this man is just what scares the democrat party out of their gord, causing them to recruit their fifth column media/enemy of we the people to attack and smear this courageous American family man. Because we the people no longer value such men as we ought, the Republic has lost any semblance of a moral imperative to goodness and thus greatness.
That was exactly my reaction the first time I watched a video of one of his speeches. Can you imagine the difference in the world today if West had taken office in Jan. of 2009? Night and day. Allen West vs. Barack Obama is good vs. evil.

I’ve had it up to *here* with “metrosexuals”.
My parents wondered why I’d marry a ‘hairy, scary biker’.
His “bathroom toiletries” consist of a bar of Dial soap, a bottle of shampoo and a Schick razor.
He’s “rough”, has calloused hands and wouldn’t know how to “dress formally” if his life depended on it and I -love- it.
What worries me is, that, no matter how unreasonable their [learned] prejudice might be, 0 has screwed this guy’s chances of becoming POTUS because some people will automatically go into “never another black president” mode at the polls.
OBambo *may* have screwed his entire race’s future chances at the POTUS level, simply by getting elected *first*.

I'm down here in (hate to say it) Palm Beach County - home of the hanging chads. However, there are a LOT of disillusioned and “ticked off” , bankers, roughnecks and rednecks down here.
I would give a bazillion dollars to be able to vote for Mr. West, but wrong district. Don't tell my hubby - tight budget and all, but I sent him $100...shhh
