Here is video of teen singing sensation Justin Beiber (16 years old) in an interview recently where he was asked if the name "Beiber" is "German" for basketball.

Beiber was dumbfounded by the question because he did not know what the word "German" was. The interviewer repeated the word several times and then Beiber even read it off the guy's notes. But then he said, "We don't say that in America," meaning the word "German."

I guess we know he hasn't taken "German" yet in high school.

It's "Bieber" (beeber), not "Beiber" (biber).

I had never heard of this kid until yesterday. I have a 14-year-old daughter, but she is not "into" this manufactured teen idol, I understand the kid is a Canadian suburbanite with an affected "gangsta" look and style, saggy pants and all that.

C'mon. The interviewer is from New Zealand and clearly pronounced the word "German" as "Jimmin".

Who wouldn't be a bit confused?
When the kid said, "We don't say that in America." It is clear he meant "We don't say 'Jimmin' in America.

I think it's beter than even odds that this kid has heard of a German Shepherd breed of dog...
German chocolate cake...
German bologna...

You are so right. Without a doubt another Obama voter. Rock the vote baby! All you can do anymore is laugh cause there is no changing it...short of violent upheaval, that is, which, by the way, I am prepared for.

Amerika’s kids are sooooo stupid!

????????????

The German word for "basketball" is "Basketball."

"Biber," pronounced the same way as the teen idol's last name is the German word for "Beaver."

Your explanation is nonsense. Kid read the word on paper.

Yes, he read it on paper.

That’s when he realized the New Zealander was mispronouncing the word.

It’s pronounced ‘german’. Not ‘jimmin’.
