Here is video of teen singing sensation Justin Beiber (16 years old) in an interview recently where he was asked if the name "Beiber" is "German" for basketball. Beiber was dumbfounded by the question because he did not know what the word "German" was. The interviewer repeated the word several times and then Beiber even read it off the guy's notes. But then he said, "We don't say that in America," meaning the word "German." I guess we know he hasn't taken "German" yet in high school.
