It wasn't just Steele folks. I think the Republican leadership clearly had a plan to undermine conservatives going into this cycle. We saw it in the feeble attempt by those like Jeb Bush, Romney, and even Cantor to distance themselves from Reagan and go on that "listening tour". They didn't count on the tea parties.

The GOP had best figure out who it is, whom it represents, and fast.

And how many millions were wasted this time by the RNC? It’s the Dede Scozzafava problem, Washington party knows best. Hey RNC — Next time let’s let the primaries and the people pick their candidates.

I doubt Steele explained this to CNN the other day. Who watches CNN anyway.

Give your money to the candidate of your choice, regardless of state, make sure it is given to someone who supports the conservative cause.

Not to mention the GOPs support for another last-minute switcher, the hideous Scozzafava. It’s one thing for scum-bags like Specter, Scozzafava and Crist to go to war with the rank and file conservatives who support them, but they don’t even have loyalty to the party hacks who supported them. It shows that the GOP leadership is either horribly naive in their assessment of the character of these candidates (in which case they’re incompetent) or that they are themselves at war with conservatives (in which case they are contemptuous). Steele and others of his ilk are not fit to do the job and need to be replaced.

The aricles compares DeVore and Rubio.

DeVore is against illegal immigration. He is the real deal.

RINO Jeb Bush can hit the bricks and get lost.

Everyone who cares about electing grassroots conservative Republicans should make their displeasure known to the NRSC.

"Cornyn sees that wisdom now. “In this political environment it’s not necessarily helpful for candidates running in the states to have the national party chairman” endorse them. No joke."

It is proving out so far that Cornyn's political endorsements are the political kiss of death for the endorseees. Arlen Spectre, who one week later departed to the darkside. Charlie Crist's endorsement by JC followed Spectre's by about one week, now Crist is trying to join the darkside, and is being rebuffed by Rhambo. Now, on the Arizona immigration law, Cornyn is mumbling something about comprehensive immigration system or maybe he means amnesty? It's time to reconsider Cornyn's leadership in the RNC. He has apparently lost his way. And he started out so good, according to ACU.

Note Cornyn’s statement: “You know, recruiting candidates is a dynamic process. I tried to recruit [former Florida Gov.] Jeb Bush to run for the Senate and after he told me he wouldn’t run. I looked around for the most popular candidate I could find.” That was Crist, he recalled, and when the governor became a candidate last year, “he had a huge lead in the polls.”

Gee, John, shouldn’t you be looking for someone principled rather than popularity? If not, why don’t you select Obama? He was popular too, wasn’t he?

What an idiot we have for a Texas Senator. I am ashamed.
