Tiger Woods may have lost the battle to save his marriage and may soon be divorced by his wife, according to multiple reports in the U.S. Friends are understood to be saying the creepy TV advert made by Woods featuring the voice of his late father was the 'final straw' for former model Elin Nordegren. The 30-year-old apparently refused to watch Woods make his comeback at the US Masters tournament and flew out of Florida alone after he returned home having failed to win the tournament.

I’ve never heard of a divorce based on a television commercial before. This strains credulity.

All I see is what I read, and what I read says she and the children would be better off without such a philanderer as husband and father.

Nah, she is leaving because he lost. His era is over and she is going to take what she can get before his fortune dwindles.

That ad is beyond cheesy, it’s downright creepy. It’s before you know where the voice over comes from, it’s even worse when you do.

I could see how that commercial could be the final straw.

I am guessing it is more about Tigers back nine then the commercial.

I think it shows Tiger is not serious about changing his life if the first things he does after going to rehab is cut a new ad for Nike and playing in the Masters.

Being reminded how a real husband treats his wife, as Phil Mickelson showed, couldn’t have helped matters.

It’s over, Tiger, move on.

She stayed long enough to see if she could get one of them Kobe Diamonds from him out of the prize - if he’d won.....No win, no.....(you fill it in).

I can't really disagree with her.

This nanny should have picked a different famous golfer.

I’d leave his ass too. Dude is like an emotionless robot. If I had to describe Tiger Woods in one word, it would be “creep”. Who wants to be married to a creep?

Take him to the cleaners, Mrs. Woods.

That was a weird commercial indeed. He was crassly planning and selling the commercial aspects of his philandering to Nike, all while he was still seeking “treatment” and showing deep “contrition.” It does boggle the mind.

The situation is just too screwed up. She should have just left for good last November.

She sounds like a real prize herself. Hitting someone in the head with a golf wedge when they aren’t looking is nothing less than attempted homicide.

And she left because he didnt win the tournament. Again, proving this perfect angel would have never married Tiger if he was a high school golf coach living in a little town somewhere in Tennesee.

Nike pays the bills,,, silly chick.

Looks like this Tiger is going to need a new pride after the divorce is finalized.

I think the baby sitter revelation was the last straw.
