Jesus was in Jerusalem during this feast and made one of His clearest messianic claims (John 10:22-39). It was this same Jesus who referred to himself as the light of the world (John 8:12).

Interesting point. The Bible never records Yeshua/Jesus celebrating His birthday but we do have record of Him celebrating the Feasts, including Hanukkah!
Of course he celebrated his birthday...all Israel did. He was born on the first day of Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles), a Sabbath and circumcised the eighth day, also a Sabbath.
If you count back 9 months from Sukkot you will be at Channuka...Yeshua then, would have been conceived at that time.
But it wasn’t on December 25, that’s for certain!
Wasn’t Jesus born on April 17th or there about?
Well 0bama gave greetings to the world of Islam for Ramadhan and the haj . So will the slimball in cheif send greetings at the beginning of the season of Hanukkah? This will be interesting.
I love the Jewish Holidays.....wish I knew more about them,so thankyou for this...
you are very welcome
Based on the reading of John chapter 1 where he says that Yeshua “tabernacled among us”, it’s mroe likely he was born during Sukkot, which is in the fall (Sept./Oct.) and would fit more with the story about the shepards still out in the fields at night.
Interesting food for thought.
