Three months after the fact, the Gallatin County Sheriff's Office has released the final tally of costs associated with President Barack Obama's 36-hour August visit to Gallatin County.
The total: $91,747.52 for 2,003 man hours, Sheriff Jim Cashell said.
The tally includes costs incurred by several law-enforcement and emergency-services agencies, including the sheriffs office, Belgrade/Central Valley Fire District and the Bozeman Police Department, according to county documents released Thursday.
The sheriffs costs topped the list at $38,278 for 1,165 man-hours, according to the report. The bulk of that -- $32,120 -- was overtime pay. The remaining $6,000 went to food, lodging and mileage.

As far as I know there isn’t a law that says local law enforcement has to provide security for the President. They should just act like a vagrant is in town....
Heck NO. They put vagrants on a Greyhound and send 'em to to Butte! (and then Butte sends 'em back)
Agreed, this is a guy who forced taxpayers to pay for his New York date night, family vacation in Britain and other things we likely dont even know about. He couldnt care less about the local expense. Its part of his royal expectations.
