I have volunteered for ‘emergency response’ organizations for decades, and never, ever, had a hint of... well... what we all fear. Most of the organizations I have worked with are listed!
Look forward to finding out more about this, that is for sure.
Oh, and now talking to myself, a huge number of the ‘councils’ and ‘partner’ program participants have been around for decades.
If I was going to speculate, they just listed everything they had in their ‘rolodex’ (let me know if you are too young to know what that is), so that their ‘coverage’ would be what it is... or they wish it was?
They had a couple of organizational (ha!) meetings where I live a little over a year ago. Supposed to be a supplement to aid fire, police etc. during an overwhelming disaster situation. If this outfit were to be what we all had to fall back on during a disaster, then God help us all. Maybe others have had a different experience.
Well, based on my experience, the folks that have worked with me - I have worked with (sample size, US-wide, is extremely small, I know), are patriotic, very conservative, and will NOT join, endorse the kind of crap we are discussing.
