Is some group following a certain player? Crap, Tiger just put it in the water on 13.
Back to DVR.
17Th hole at Warwick Hills is a lot like the 16th hole at TPC Scottsdale or the 17th at TPC Sawgrass. The crowds get there early, stick around to see every player and like to have a couple of extra drinks too.
Watch the part when Feherty goes into the crowd after Tiger and Letzig hit their tee shots on 17. It’s pretty effing funny.
Hopefully the tour, or another sponsor gets involved cause it would suck to see a tourney played for 51 years disapper from the schedule.....
Williams races cars in NZ and Valvoline is one of his sponsors.........There is more than meets the eye about Williams and good reason why he ranks about 16th on the PGA tour in earnings (approx. $20 Mil..)without having to swing a club and there is also a factoid about why Woods dropped "Fluff".........
Do a google search on Steve Williams.........
ROFLMAO!!!!!! Your post is definitely a keeper!
I saw that Steve has a lot of outside interests, which certainly explains the logo.
When I get a little harsh with either Tiger, or Steve for that matter, I think it may be with good reason. Tiger’s performance at the British Open stunk, and I’m not only talking about his game. Enough of the club-dropping and 4 letter bombs for a while would be nice, and no, I’m not throwing a bone to the trolls who pile on cause of a 90 second speech he did at Stupid’s pre inarguration party. Tiger’s the #1 player in the world. and completely changed the landscape of professional golf for a lifetime.
And I guess the only bone with Steve is when he goes ganster on a photographer and turns a camera into trash. Or when he makes physical contact with anyone in the gallery, which I’ve seen before in person.
It’s not without some right, but that’s why there’s police and marshals on the course. Boot the photographer and take away his privileges from the tour, but don’t do something stupid.......
His post seemed a little premature, don’t you think?
LOL!
Now, he has family concerns, golf course design interests, charitable promotion interests, plus age and injury factors.
If you bothered to read and were able to comprehend the posts I made on this thread, you would realize I stated I thought he was probably the most talented golfer ever.
Perhaps you need a few small numbers to illustrate his successes. Tiger has, of course, always concentrated on the “Major tournaments”. Look at his career “Major” wins: 1997 1 major (Masters by 12 strokes); 1999 1 major; 2000 3 majors (U.S. Open by 15 strokes); 2002 2 majors; 2005 2 majors; 2006 2 majors; 2007 1 major (PGA by 2 strokes); 2008 1 major (U.S. Open in playoff).
2009: Masters? Tied for 6th. U.S. Open? Tied for 6th. British Open? Missed cut. PGA? To be determined.
I still feel he is past his prime, due to the factors listed in my original post. Your editing of my post was masterful. If you are not a reporter or an editor of a liberal newspaper or magazine, you have missed your calling.
Don’t associate me and liberal ANYTHING in the same sentance, please!!!
And maybe I may have failed to look at the big picture with your analysis but after what Greg Norman and Tom Watson did in the last 2 British Opens, I’m not so sure the age thing is as big a factor as it could be. Now Tiger’s other interests and family, that’s a different story altogether.
Maybe it’s just the greedy side in me but it would be nice to see Tiger play some more “regular” tournaments along with the usual biggies.....I’ve looked back over the years and he’s usually played around 17 events per season. Especially in these times where some events are on the list of being not around, to have Tiger play, say in Tampa, or New Orleans once in a while wouldn’t be a bad thing. If maybe he could fit say 20 events on next year’s schedule could make a big difference economics wise.
At some point he will break Jack’s record. I figure that comes by the end of the 2013 season. The only questions then will be how far above 18 will be go and how long before someone else breaks it?
