WILKES-BARRE - A Dallas woman made her pit bull attack and bite a man before biting the man herself Sunday night in Wilkes-Barre, police said.
Gillian Marie Davies, 28, is charged with aggravated assault, firearms not to be carried without a license and driving under the influence of alcohol.
According to arrest papers:
Police were called to 220 Carlisle St. at about 10:15 p.m. on a report of a fight in which a woman pulled a gun on several people. When police arrived, they found Ms. Davies in the driver's seat of her 2005 Toyota Scion.
After being questioned about the gun, she told officers it was in the glove compartment. The gun was loaded with a live round in the chamber. Ms. Davies was detained.
Police then interviewed the victim, Michael Bohlin. He said he was arguing with Ms. Davies about her pit bull when she forced the dog to bite his leg. While the argument continued, Ms. Davies pulled a .22 caliber pistol and pointed it at Mr. Bohlin. The two then struggled over the gun. During the scuffle, Ms. Davies bit Mr. Bohlin in the arm.
When someone called 911, Ms. Davies fled to her car. Police detained Ms. Davies upon arrival.
They said she appeared intoxicated while sitting behind the wheel of her vehicle. A breath test at the police station determined her estimated blood alcohol concentration was 0.182 percent.
Ms. Davies was jailed in the Luzerne County Correctional Facility in lieu of $7,500 cash bail.
Arrest the dog.
Put the woman down.
I’d hit it!
...with a rolled-up newspaper...
I drive “quite a ways” east to work with Wilkes Barreans, and the descendants of Scrantonian/Wilkes Barreans and have concluded that many are actually from Jersey. I’ve often pointed out that the actual eastern border of Pennsylvania is not the Delaware river, it’s the East Branch Susquehanna River that runs from “IBM-is-gone” Binghamton, New York, down thru SWB, and into Harrisburg and the Chesapeake. East of the Susquehanna, most of the Pennsylvanians you meet will, sooner or later, betray themselves by their actions and attitudes as Jerseyites, except, of course, the Amish down ‘round Lancaster.
S/WB is definitely not Jersey east, but the Poconos are (Monroe County, extreme eastern parts of Luzerne County, Pike County). Wilkes-Barre is right on the Susquehanna, and like many older cities, it has it’s various ethnic sections i.e. Irish, Slovak, Italian, Syrian, etc.
But of course there was alcohol involved. Poor pit bull deserves a better owner
She bit him in the Wilkes-Barre?!!!
Ouch!
Sounds like Saturday night at the Compound!
Did they have a photo of the pitbull too?
What an ugly dog.
I don’t think I’d like to be bitten in the Wilkes-Barre.
That might hurt a little.
A moose once bit my sister in the Wilkes-Barre!
And they "remain" dead? As opposed to...?
LOL
