It seemed too much to expect, a second thrilling round at the British Open by a 59-year-old icon, but Tom Watson showed he still had the putting touch that won him five Opens in his heyday. And, if anything, he made Fridays second round at Turnberry even more dramatic than the first.

Holy Cow I’m going to have to check that out tomorrow. Go get ‘em Tom.
wtf...
It sure will be electric if Watson is in the hunt on Sunday.
I’m not even half his age yet I would love to see Tom Watson go old school and win it all.
Wow, what a turn of events.
If Watson is still in the running on Sunday, I may tune in and watch the tournament. And I’m not a golf fan.
Where is the Simpson’s character with his Ha Ha?
My family cannot understand how I can watch four days of golf during a major. But when they are good, there are few sports more compelling.
Tiger was slamming clubs back when his father was alive.
I remember seeing him do it, but I think it is worse...it really sucks to see it like this...
The tee shot on 9 was possibly the worst tee shot Tiger has ever hit as a pro.
From what I saw, he hit about 3 inches behind the ball with the dirt going flying while the ball still was on the tee.
The ball then traveled about 180 yards in the air, barely clearing a hazard and then rolled for another 20 yards.
It was a spectacularly bad shot. It is the kind of shot I (a 25 handicap) rarely make.

His knee? Has anyone said anything? Be a shame if his knee was really screwed up...someone said that if it was, he wouldn’t say anything because of the endorsement $$$...they would drop the minute there was a sign of trouble...’course, he probably has more now than he’ll ever be able to spend...be a shame though, if had a problem...I can’t remember ever seeing a pro hit a shot that bad and I’ve been playing and watching golf for many, many years...
If Watson continues to play well, The ratings will be good. Otherwise the philosophy of “If Tiger ain’t playin’, I ain’t watchin’” will doom this broadcast.
I saw a pro top a ball off the tee once. I can’t remember who it was but it was about 15 years ago.
