Some of you may not agree with Tammy Bruce, but she gave a great analogy of Sarah's statements today in the Washington Times. Check it out

No no no, Sarah quit....I know it because the SRM said so. Sarah Palin is a quitter, she’s toast, her day is over. I know this because I have been told......

In an interview with the Washington Times, Palin makes her most direct comments yet about Conservativism versus the Republican Party. In my humble opinion, it’s clear the GOP, unfortunately, is lost beyond the point of return. When you’re one year out of key campaigns to take back Congress in 2010 and Meghan McCain is The Oracle of the party, you know it’s over. If Tina Brown thought Ms. McCain’s willingness to be a Useful Idiot for liberals would undermine the conservative movement (and consequently Sarah Palin), she should take a serious and long look at what their attacks on Palin provoked: a stronger, more independent, more determined conservative leader and base.

Enter now Sarah Palin with very encouraging comments that lead one to believe that she is indeed planning to do what she must: build an independent conservative movement and take this nation back from the liberals which now control both parties. Thanks liberals, for provoking Sarah into the national scene while vetting that family at the same time.

One thing I will say, the Washington Times with their headline for this exclusive interview reveal an anti-Palin stance. She is, don’t doubt, a threat to every existing political status quo. I hope the Washington Times and their editors realize, sooner than later, that the Palin movement is unstoppable and their credibility would be saved simply by reporting the news instead of becoming a GOP version of the NYT.

first time listening to Tammy...never heard of her before I read this...she is right about a lot of what she talks about in this commentary.
Clearly brings to light that based on her comments in this interview Sarah is going to back all conservative candidates (a third way...vs two party) regardless of current party affiliation.
She says there is a real reason Reagan won 49 of 50 states...everyone want to be free...American. Not this current liberal crap.

Just listened to the entire thing ... Tammy Bruce is right on! This isn't about political partisanship, this is about appealing to the hopes and dreams of the vast majority of Americans, who look to themselves to live their own life and not to the body politic (government) to live it for them.

Sarah appeals to this vast constituency, which throws out 'politics as usual' and 'politics of division' while taking on BOTH major political parties for practicing same, to the detriment of the peoples they supposedly are 'serving'

I have no problem with Sarah reaching out to those on the other side of the political divide, who might feel stifled by the vicious partisanship of their own party, and may not have previously had an 'out'. Sarah gives them that 'out', and Tammy Bruce emphasizes it in this radio screed.

Good video, but it was very typical for Tammy. I admire her style (not some of her other choices) and her grasp of the political turf. She better than anyone knows what the “Left” is capable of.

I have watched her for a long time and know where she came from. She is a legit conservative. And a very articulate one at that.

After all these years I have to admit that I still do not like the conservative label. I am a “classic liberal as in 1776” (an Anti-Statist) because a “conservative” in the 1770’s was a Statist monarchist. Now a liberal is a Statist Marxist. Monarchist or Marxist, I have no use for Statists Totalitarianism.

Here is another video link of Tammy hosting the Ingrahm show.

Tammy Bruce emphasizes it in this radio screed.

OK, maybe 'screed' was the wrong word to use, given its negative connotation ... but I meant it as a positive 'rant', not in a negative sense

Great video. I hope Sarah DOES start a real conservative movement. We desperately need one.

Watch for Chairman Obeyme to push his amnesty for 30-40 million illegals. A built-in rat voter base to insure rat control forever.

With recent polls showing the majority is center-right and only 20% as liberal, Obeyme sees Sarah targeting the center-right majority and he desperately needs his new voting block asap.

But there are “political experts” right here on FR who are guaranteeing that if Sarah is nominated, she will lose in a landslide. I hope they choke on a Palin presidency.

Palin is to conservatives today what The Postman was to Americans in David Brin’s sci fi classic. She is a messenger of hope, and a link between people, and an icon of courage. She believes in Liberty.

They want Romney to be their nominee. Fine, if he is, I will laugh my ass off if Obama wins in a landslide. Romney is the White Obama as far as I’m concerned. If that is what the GOP wants well then they deserve what they get

Too bad FReepers are confusing this new Independent Conservative Movement (ICM) with Palin starting or joining a 3rd party.

I strongly support what Palin is doing here, just as Reagan did in 1980. FReepers (and you know who you are) are stating the BS that Palin is going to "campaign" for the likes of Pelosi or Reid. Nothing could be further from the truth. What Palin is doing is moving that ball back to the right. She'll support Democrats who support her vision, which in turn will force Republicans to stop running RINOs and become more conservative too. And if Democrats won't join her? They'll be stripped naked as the out-and-out leftists that they are, and Republican conservatives will win. And if Palin is going to take a shot in 2012, she's going to need some reform-minded members of Congress. In two Congressional elections, the makeup of Congress may be much different. You never know.

Sarah can say that she will back all conservatives, regardless of party label.

However, I challenge you:

Show me the MOST conservative Democrat out there, and that person would be a RINO, at best, in the Republican Party.
