That’s right. In one month alone Americans made themselves and this nation safer (from enemies foreign and domestic) by choosing to exercise one our most precious rights–the right to own a firearm. I think Thomas Jefferson would be especially pleased with this news when we consider a letter he sent to one of his nephews: “A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives a moderate exercise to the Body, it gives boldness, enterprise, and independence to the mind . . . Let your gun therefore be the constant...

Take a listen to a portion of Tammy Bruce's Saturday radio show where she talks about the great week Governor Palin has had influencing the Obama Health Care legislation, and how both the right and left establishments are trying to take her out:

t is starting. Open mockery of Barack Obama, as disillusionment sets in with the man, his policies, and the phony image of a race-healing, brilliant, scholarly, middle-of-the-roader. Via Tammy Bruce, Atlas Shrugged and Newsbusters (three terrific conservative sites) and Bedlam Magazine (an arts site) comes news of a poster spreading across Los Angeles, depicting Obama as a Heath Ledger Joker, and carrying the caption "Socialist." Noel Sheppard of Newsbusters includes pictures of the actual posters in use: There will more of this. Count on it. Obama's cool image is so 2008. It's a long way down from lowering the oceans...

Have you seen this poster? Apparently, it's beginning to appear in odd places in Los Angeles, but nobody seems to know who's responsible for it. Radio host Tammy Bruce posted some pictures of this odd creation at her blog Saturday morning (h/t Pamela Geller) leading me to investigate further. At this point, all I could find on the subject was an April 25 article from Bedlam Magazine: A poster of Barack Obama in Heath Ledger-style Joker make-up with the legend 'Socialism' beneath it has been popping up recently on surfaces around L.A. It does not appear to be in the...

Tammy Bruce appeared on the Foxnews.com Strategy Room yesterday and as usual, had high praise for Governor Palin. Click the image below to watch:

Enter now Sarah Palin with very encouraging comments that lead one to believe that she is indeed planning to do what she must: build an independent conservative movement and take this nation back from the liberals which now control both parties. Thanks liberals, for provoking Sarah into the national scene while vetting that family at the same time. One thing I will say, the Washington Times with their headline for this exclusive interview reveal an anti-Palin stance. She is, don’t doubt, a threat to every existing political status quo. I hope the Washington Times and their editors realize, sooner than later,...

Some of you may not agree with Tammy Bruce, but she gave a great analogy of Sarah's statements today in the Washington Times. Check it out

People like John McCain and others who have been part of the self-absorbed, navel-gazing and corrupt Washington environment for a quarter century no doubt resent someone not "of them." But it is indeed odd when Sarah Palin, a bright, shining light for conservatives remains the prime target of the existing machine, while Mark Sanford and other hypocritical liars are serenaded as getting a raw deal by the very public daughter of a defacto leader of the party. For some reason, Meghan McCain, writing in The Daily Beast, seems to think adulterous politicians, like South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford, should be...

Iranian tyrants first arrested Saberi on a charge of buying wine, then changed it to not having the proper press credentials, and finally to spying. Make no mistake, Saberi’s situation is not one of “arrest” or “conviction,” this is a terrorist nation which has grabbed another American and is holding her hostage. But Roxana is not the only American journalist (and woman of color) who is held hostage by a terrorist nation. Laura Ling and Euna Lee were kidnapped by North Korean forces and have been held by that terrorist nation since March. Taking Iran’s cue, and seeing a typically...

Tammy Bruce discusses Obama immigration plan on Fox and Friends Sunday. President Obama is crazy. He is radical, arrogant, dangerous and dishonest. Amnesty for 35 Million people? That's his solution to immigration? This a power grab; pure and simple. If Obama were truly concerned about immigration reform, he would start with securing our borders. But he doesn't truly care about our national security, the economy or anything else that our President should be focused on. His lone motivation is for his radical Obumunist Agenda is to establish a Socialist State and make it next to impossible for Republicans to stop...

Talk about a low blow. Filling in for conservative talk-show host Laura Ingraham, Tammy Bruce blasted First Lady Michelle Obama for comments she made during a visit to a Washington D.C. classroom last week. During that visit, the first lady recalled trying to get good grades as neighborhood kids criticized her for "talking like a white girl." In light of those remarks, Bruce made fun of Obama for her use of a "weird, fake accent," much "like Hillary did when talking to black people. What?! What is that?"
-
Laura Ingraham is back. I'm glad that the sometimes correct but whiny Tammy Bruce isn't guest hosting today. While Tammy is less obnoxious than the average pro-abortion lesbian feminazi, it does bother me that a supposedly pro-life, pro-marriage devout Catholic like Laura would allow Tammy to be her guest host when she's gone. It would be like Tammy allowing a pro-life Christian to guest host her local talk show to advocating positions on life and the natural family contrary to hers. Why doesn't Laura pick a guest host that agrees with her on these issues?

<p>Tammy Bruce, a fill-in for Laura Ingraham on her radio show, had some nasty words for First Lady Michelle Obama this week.</p>
<p>Tammy170 Discussing the first lady's recent visit to a Washington, D.C., classroom, Bruce incredulously recalled Obama's story about wanting to get A's in school and called out her use of a "weird, fake accent."</p>

Responsible decision-making and financial independence through small government were the two reoccurring themes of Tammy Bruce’s Wednesday lecture. "Conservatism for me, after identifying as a liberal and certainly still identifying as a feminist, is the belief in small government, low taxes, and people staying out of my life and also being able to keep as much of my money as I possibly can," she said.

Sarah Palin is a woman who means business when she talks of reform. The one person none of the boys in Washington like, she lives and works west of the Rockies (let alone the Mississippi), was educated at a university without Ivy on its walls, is not of the monied class, and actually intends to confront the corruption and hypocrisy emanating from both the Republican and Democratic parties.

Why McCain Will Win For several months now, before the polls were in a dead heat, before Joe the Plumber, before Obama let it slip he’s a socialist with Marxist tendencies, even before he revealed his plan to make the bitter and clingy unemployed by bankrupting the coal industry, I have been predicting a McCain win on November 4th. Now, as the campaigning comes to a close, I am more confident than ever. In the simplest of terms McCain will win because he is the better, more decent man. Obama, not having those virtues, relied on hype and hoped celebrity...

In the shadow of the blatant and truly stunning sexism launched against the Hillary Rodham Clinton presidential campaign, and as a pro-choice feminist, I wasn't the only one thrilled to hear Republican John McCain announce Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate. For the GOP, she bridges for conservatives and independents what I term "the enthusiasm gap" for the ticket. For Democrats, she offers something even more compelling - a chance to vote for a someone who is her own woman, and who represents a party that, while we don't agree on all the issues, at least respects women enough...
-
As an authentic feminist and independent conservative I am thrilled with McCain’s choice of Sarah Palin for Vice-President. I have to confess, I didn’t give him enough credit. I have come to support McCain grudgingly, only after Giuliani and then Romney. And when the VP stakes began both on my Web site and radio show Palin had been a consistent favorite of readers and listeners. As disappointment and even hostility with Washington has grown, McCain has done something so many of us were hoping for–he made a daring, maverick and ultimately the right choice for his running mate. A choice...

We finally got a glimpse last night of Michelle Obama, The Actress, and exactly how far she will go to pretend to be something she’s not in order to get into the White House. I mused yesterday that Obama’s speech could in no way eclipse the rank absurdity of Teresa Heinz-Kerry’s Ode to Herself four years ago. But I was wrong. In her widely panned speech, at least Mrs. Kerry respected everyone enough to be honest with us about herself. Michelle Obama, on the other hand, simply was not. Her comments last night in no way, in any small part,...

Ingraham Takes Award, Doesn't Explain Radio Silence *** WITH IMPORTANT UPDATED DETAILS *** Less than a week after her sudden absence from the radio airwaves, syndicated talker Laura Ingraham found herself in a truly awkward position while picking up a radio industry award Saturday evening. And today, the mystery over her program's fate has only deepened. During the 2008 New Media Seminar, a talk radio convention held in Manhattan, Ingraham received the "Judy Jarvis Memorial Award for Outstanding Contributions by a Woman to Talk Radio". Touching on her past accomplishments in talk radio, Ingraham gave a brief speech to attendees,...

All right, 630 WMAL fans! Here's the latest scoop from the DCRTV.org blog [i.e. "rag"]-- Hannity To 3WT? TNT's Talkers To MAL & 3WT? - 6/3 - When we asked a top 3WTer about whether the Bonneville talker was talking to afternoon righty talk radio icon Sean Hannity, we were met with dead silence. Not a denial. Which makes us really wonder if there's some truth to the rumors that Hannity may soon be bolting from Citadel's family of stations, including WMAL. Also, it appears that Hannity could be talking to Fox or Premiere or Mark Masters about taking over...

Tammy Bruce just announced on her radio show that she will not be supporting either Obama or Hillary in the general election. She is not supporting McCain, although she is a fan of John Bolton and appeared to be somewhat assuage by his "endorsement" of McCain. She took a jab at conservatives who voted for the democrats in 2006, saying that she was amazed how shocked conservatives were when the democrats actually did, or attempted to do, what they said they were going to do. Tammy Bruce is a nationally syndicated radio host out of KABC in LA. She is...

Al Rantel, for whom I've been filling in, has announced that he has been diagnosed with a highly treatable form of lymphoma and is now undergoing chemotherapy. I'll read his announcement letter on the air at the top of the 7pm hour. If you like, feel free to leave your messages here for Al, and the KABC website also has a place for updates and where you can leave your best wishes. Al's a great guy and considers his listenership his family. Please send your prayers and best vibes to him through this difficult time.

Does anyone know what has happened to Al Rantel, the evening guy on KABC talk radio in Los Angeles? Tammy Bruce is beginning her 3rd week of subbing for him, and I think I heard her mention last week that people were all wishing he pulls through. Is he seriously ill? I can't find out anything from any of their websites. I'd like to pray for him or send him a note, but I was wondering if anyone knows what is going on. Thank you.

On its surface it sounds reasonable, but once you get into it, like anything related to the government's attitude toward illegal immigration it has amnesty and open borders written all over it. In this instance, the Bush administration, via the Department of Homeland Insecurity (of course) is bypassing legislation and using the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to establish a 'rule' allowing illegal aliens who are supposed 'crime victims' to receive visas and special benefits. USCIS announced an interim final rule that grants "temporary immigration benefits" to crime victims who assist officials in investigating and prosecuting criminal activity. The...

The Giuliani/McCain Open Border Amnesty Pig. Yes, she has pearls, but a pig is a pig is a pig. And touts a stunningly absurd "Just tell us your name" Guest Worker Program. Where have we heard this before? No wonder he's such a fan of McCain. Glenn Beck interviews GOP Presidential Candidate Rudy Giuliani GLENN: So what's your solution? [to illegal immigration] GIULIANI: My solution is close the border to illegal immigration. GLENN: How do you do that? GIULIANI: You do that by building a fence, a physical fence and a technological fence, and the technological fence is more...

Last year during the Foley scandal, we, unfortunately, became well acquainted with one of the left’s more notorious “heroes” Mike Rogers, who, after the Foley scandal broke - with his help - moved to target Senator Larry Craig for the purposes of outing him as a “hypocrite.” As it turns out, Craig jumped into his own pail of hot water after it surfaced last week that he was caught soliciting for sex in one of the men’s restrooms at Minneapolis International Airport. Craig resigned, effective Sept. 30. Today, the Washington Post features a puff piece on Rogers, which Patterico dissects...

So, I post this morning on the Edwards scum, I'm out most of the day, and come back to this. Classic. When I made a reference to Edwards' obsession with Ann in the previous post, I did so because I couldn't imagine them going after her again when it has become painfully clear how pathetic both he and his wife have become. Well, i was wrong, which does happen, albeit rarely. Obviously, they must need money. Edwards, in fact, has cleared out his Nevada operation because they're short on cash. And now he attacks Coulter because he's void of ideas....

John McCain has suddenly changed his position on immigration! He also changed his name to "Tom Duncan Tancredo Hunter," danced the cha cha, dyed his hair purple, joined Cirque de Soleil, threatened to invade a sovereign nation (oh wait, that's Obama), endorsed setting up Murder Squads to assassinate, er, "capture or kill", people in other countries (oh wait, that's Obama, too), dressed like Marlene Dietrich, declared his love for Nancy Reagan, and then adopted all the children Angelina Jolie hasn't had time to get to. All just a bit too little, too late. Won't he be surprised to find out...

Frankly, those are the only messages you get from her latest column. And what a shame, because she also illustrates how ridiculous the 'feminist establishment' truly has become while simultaneously reinforcing the stereotype that feminists are simply bitter and jealous: "Fred Thompson, would-be presidential candidate, is 64 years old and looks it. His wife, Jeri, is two years younger than one of his daughters and looks even younger than her 40 years. This term is generally used to refer to women who are substantially younger, less wrinkled, and sometimes, but not always, more accomplished than the old model. The old...

Gay Totalitarians Perverse Sex Education for Kids In speaking of ‘gay identity’ politics, Tammy Bruce noted that the “Gay Gestapo” is ‘infuriated most when I declare that my sexuality is not an ‘orientation’ but my ‘preference.' Liberals are always shocked by her honest disclosures because the politically correct stance is that “we are all born this way.” “The silliness of this claim,” commented Tammy, “reinforces the main lie in the Leftist world—that none of us are responsible for our behavior, who we are, or what we become. This ‘gay from birth’ angle also makes it easier to argue for special...

There are innumerable reasons to want our border secure. We know our infrastructure is being ravaged--emergency rooms overwhelmed, hospitals closing, our highways jammed, school rooms overcrowded, tax revenue lost, it goes on and on. When illegal immigrants are discussed in the media, the picture painted is of a hard working family man or woman, the sort of person President Bush refers to when he pitches his "guest worker" program. "Hard working people who want a better way of life," is how he casts them. While many fit that bill, the dirty little secret is the fact that illegal aliens are...

I Support Katherine Harris Rep. Katherine Harris As you've probably noticed, there is a great deal of news swirling around a planned announcement by Rep Katherine Harris regarding her campaign for the Senate. The general rumor is that she will be pulling out of the race. If so, it's a loss for all of us. I met Harris a few years ago when she was running for Congress. I was impressed then and continue to believe that she is one of the few public servants who does her work for the right reasons and whose service makes this nation...

For once not involving Air America, liberal talk radio took a big hit this week, as Ed Schultz lost affiliates in three cities. In an especially significant blow, the syndicated talker was cancelled in his hometown of Fargo, North Dakota, from where his show remains based. According to Perry Simon of entertainment industry trade publication All Access, Schultz was cancelled in Fargo to make room for local programming, the same reason the Aberdeen American News has given for his South Dakota removal. And his Norfolk, Virginia outlet is switching to sports. While Aberdeen's KSDN is also dropping Rush Limbaugh for...
