I don’t know why. Maybe I just saw it wrong too many times.

Thanks. Actually, another person on a racing forum (whom I have met as she is a track photographer) corrected me also.

I need to stop. It’s 1 little “bad grammar” thing that’s hard for me to give up, though.

alot and a lot are both wrong.

A ‘lot’ means a piece of land. People who use ‘a lot’ in language are no better educated than the typical high school kid.
