I HATE when people spell it like that! I stopped emailing a girl once because she kept using it and kept spelling it wrong.

This is not nearly as irritating as using apostophe’s to form plural’s. That happen’s ALOT.

Some people use “another words” when they mean “in other words,” alot. Some do get it alright, though.
Of course, alot of peole use it as a style construct for writing and alot of us are not writing formally as we would be required to, a lot of the time, use the correct grammar of a lot.
But that's just me and alot of time I don't care what others think, as alot of them are rather officious and sometimes object to misspellings and comma use.
Oh well, I guess alot them don't have anything else to do.
Besides, it doesn't show up in the Free Republic spell checker so it must be okay. Right? LOL

But when my brother and me was eight years old and mom asked us where the h*ll we had been, and we said “Down at the crick”, she knew what we meant.
