Sacha Baron Cohen is a fraud, says senior Republican tricked into bedroom for gay seduction scene wi

After the huge success of Sacha Baron Cohen's films Ali G In Da House and Borat: Cultural Learnings Of America For Make Benefit Glorious Nation Of Kazakhstan, you'd think people would have wised up to the comedian's disguises. But it appears not everyone recognises the comedian when he's dressed up as his third alter-ego, gay Austrian fashion reporter Bruno.

Texas congressman Ron Paul, who was a Republican candidate for the 2008 presidential election, was left fuming after he was unwittingly tricked into a hotel room with Cohen's Bruno character.

The right-wing politician was tricked into being a target of seduction by Bruno last summer by posing as an economic reporter.

After Paul briefly appeared in the trailer for Cohen's forthcoming film Bruno: Delicious Journeys Through America For The Purpose Of Making Heterosexual Male, he realised he would have to explain himself to voters. Speaking on America's ABC radio this week, angry Paul condemned Cohen for lying and accused him of 'fraud'. During an interview with presenter Curtis Sliwa, Paul was asked how he ended up in a hotel room in such a compromising situation.

“Cohen is a scum bag, but evidently Ron Paul is too.”

I don’t understand how you could draw that conclusion from this evidence. Perhaps you already dislike Ron Paul and are looking for any excuse to say something bad about him.

Sacha Baron Cohen belongs in jail. Or perhaps someday one of his many victims will suffer from “temporary insanity” and do the obvious. Not Guilty.

I too fail to see the humor in lying about your identity and misrepresenting your purpose in order to get someone on film. It is fraud. After I watched Borat, all I wanted to do was punch that guy in the bad area.M

ditto somebody needs to put that guy in the hospital for a week

Cohen needs to be drop-kicked across a couple of Texas counties.

Do you assume that anyone who is exposed to a sexual situation does not have the strength to resist? You know that isn’t true. Some people have morals.

John Wayne

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000078/bio

The evening before a shoot he was trying to get some sleep in a Las Vegas hotel. The suite directly below his was that of Frank Sinatra (never a good friend of Wayne), who was having a party. The noise kept Wayne awake, and each time he made a complaining phone call it quieted temporarily but each time eventually grew louder.

Wayne at last appeared at Sinatra's door and told Frank to stop the noise. A Sinatra bodyguard of Wayne's size approached saying, "Nobody talks to Mr. Sinatra that way." Wayne looked at the man, turned as though to leave, then backhanded the bodyguard, who fell to the floor, where Wayne knocked him out by crashing a chair on top of him. The party noise stopped.

I had noticed that in the two or three comments following the article in the Mail, a lady wrote spiritedly that every one should be able to take a joke. Quoth she "Laugh and the world laughs with you, cry and you cry alone".

Fair go.

This as Australians used to say. The one thing though that is simply never mentioned by people, who pooh pooh any objection to jokers of this ilk, is this. It is not they who are the recipient of such a joke.

The essence of it, is simply denigration of an unsuspecting person. Cohen got his lumps going into a New York bar, he pawed an ingoing patrons clothes, saying "I like the material, but I like what is in it more". A well known actor rescued Cohen from the start of the knuckle sandwich.

He is a twisted individual.

'By the time he (Cohen) started pulling his pants down, I was like what on earth is going on here oh shit I'm caught, and I ran out of the room. This interview had ended.'

Fixed it to eliminate the damage control.

There is something seriously mentally wrong with Ron Paul. This is VERY consistent.

No, and it kind of bugs me that they’d call a nearly pure libertarian “right wing”.

Indeed you are correct. In many respects libertarians are closer to liberals (note the root) than they are to conservatives.

When will they target Obama for a gotcha moment? Or one of the obnoxious liberal talking heads of the MSM? Stephen Colbert would be a good one for this prank. Or the MSNBC gang.

But of course modern “liberals” aren’t really liberals at all. They’re too in love with the central gov’t and its wonder-working powers. Conservatives are the true liberals now. As such, libertarians and conservatives have more in common than modern so-called “liberals” (who thankfully are transitioning to the label “progressive” which more accurately reflects their statist, illiberal inclinations).

The guy’s way too crude for me so I don’t want to see his movie, but I do think the fashion clip is funny.
