Michigan, Texas A&M and LSU defied the president's expectations by winning first-round games. Of those, only Michigan was close to being an upset, as the No. 10 Wolverines knocked off seventh-seeded Clemson 62-59.

And his corrupt home state team of Illinois lost. Now, Michigan has to focus and get past Oklahomo and get into the SWEEEET 16. Beilein is a coaching GENIUS.

Basketball would be a lot more interesting if they spotted each team to 100 points and set the clock for 5 minutes.

I'd almost rather watch golf. Though, I must admit, the playoff atmosphere does make it fairly exciting.

College basketball was ruined by the shot clock and the three pointer. I don’t bother to watch anymore. No point in wasting time on an inferior version of what used to be a great game.

Like most sports, basketball isn’t worth watching until the playoffs. I’ll exclude the NBA. It is never worth watching. I was a diehard fan until about 1998, then haven’t found anything worth watching since. Ever since Jordan, each team feels like it needs a Jordan, so every time down the floor is just an exercise in 1 on 1 skills.

You liked watching teams pass the ball around the perimeter for 5 minutes a possession?

And the Ass-in-the-hat 0bama is so think-skinned, he called in to a radio talk show to rebut Mike Krzyzewski’s comment about it being more important to fix the economy than spend so much time on basketball picks.

Spot on. In fact, all the big leagues today are the same in that regard. NBA, NHL, NFL, MLB. They all have their individual performers who think it's all about the stats and the numbers they put up in order to get the big contract next year. But the teams that consistently win titles are those teams that "get it" and work as a team. That is what really makes it worth watching....i.e. The Playoffs.

The one exception is perhaps College Football. I'll sit and watch any college game at any point in the season. Because for them, every game is The Superbowl and I get that old thrill again when I watch it. Have you ever run onto a field in uniform with 10,000 cheering fans to greet your team? Believe me, it's like being plugged in to a 120 volt socket.
College football still has that excitement every game regardless of the teams involved.
Just my 2 cents.

This guy claims he’s too busy to worry about the economy, yet somehow has the time to make March madness brackets, shoot hoops at the WH, build a swingset for his kids, and chug beer at NBA games?
