A masked gunman died early this morning after he exchanged fire with a resident inside a Wellington home, authorities said.

Sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Pete Palenzuela said Heath Miller, a school teacher, killed the intruder, who police have not yet identified.

Very strange. The stiff arrived in some sort of a ninja costume, brought a handgun with him, continued entry of an occupied dwelling despite barking dogs, and heads directly for the home occupants in their bedroom. Not a burglary. Sounds more like a failed hit IMHO.
