An open letter to Rush Limbaugh
Grig

Posted on 02/13/2009 8:05:39 PM PST by Grig

Dear Rush

On Wednesday you spoke about conservatives taking power and visiting a heavy payback on the left (Our Time Will Come, Liberals). I must agree that the right has been far, far too passive and accommodating and the desire for payback is fully understandable.

I fully support going after the left using all the tools available to maximum effect within the bounds of what is moral, legal, ethical, and in harmony with conservative values.

It sounded to me like what you called for was to go much further than that. That shocked me and made me fear for the future of the USA more than anything Obama has said. If the GOP comes to power and then uses that power to censor as the right has been censored, then censorship is legitimized and made part of the culture. Likewise with raiding the public treasury and all the other dark works of the left. They will become accepted parts of the American culture and may never go away.

If the GOP becomes that, then the only way America will return to what the founding fathers envisioned would be for some third party to rise up and overthrow both the GOP and the Democrats, probably by force. What would be more likely I think would be that the Democrats would respond by resorting to even darker works, even assassination.

The only lasting victory is to win the hearts and minds of people, and you are the king there. Use your rights, the right to speak, the right to assemble, the right to protest, the right to protect yourself, the right to live your religion. If they stop you from doing that, there is still one more right, and that is the right of rebellion.

I would rather see America saved that way then see the best conservatives around jump into the gutter and stop being conservatives for the sake of getting payback.

Grig (an American soul trapped in a Canadian body)

I don't think he will ever be able to provide you with a logical answer to your question.

He seems to be terminally bent out of shape at Rush, but I dont' think anyone has really been able to ascertain why.

Rush recognizes what we all know in the back of our mind, but many are not willing to say just yet.

But they are getting close.

That's not going to happen until people don't have even bread to give their children. People are going to vote the party line because they can't think outside the bun. We keep going the same old path because the same old voters keep voting the same old way. Steele might be some home for the GOP but he's much too little too late. Until CONSERVATIVES can stop voting REPUBLICAN (those two terms are not related) nothing will change and it's what got us where were are right now.

Really? Based on what?

Based on facts. Limbaugh is perfectly happy to have the Feds do all sorts of un-Constitutional things.

Call him up and ask him how he feels about Federal drug laws.

Ask him where the authority is for the Feds to regulate what people grow on their own property for their own use.

Then listen to him babble like the philosophically inconstistent fool he is.

Ask him if he thinks the 16th or 17th Amendments should be repealed. Listen to him stutter then.

One might even say he is the most dangerous man in america.

One could say that. It would be prima facie evidence that whoever said that is an even bigger fool than Limbaugh. No mean feat, that.

Sorry, but I agree with Rush.

“Nice guy playing by the rules when they don’t, is over.”

We need to crush them, bring them to their knees, instill in their minds eye a view of hell on earth that is dedicated to those who have torn our Country apart by their slice and dice, divide and conquer, lie and deny, deflect and defend, tactics.

Whoa be unto those who take unjust and vile liberties with our Constitution and Country now. The future will be unforgiving and un-forgetful.

Go ahead, urge that our opposition be placated and appeased in their efforts to render vain all that has been done for them and come before them.

I’m sure they’ll leave you till last.

Rush opened up the “genre’” of conservative talk radio. It took someone who was in-your-face to break in and make a path for others to follow.

Rush is the last person who would advocate government censorship, so pull those panties back down before they give you a rash.

Maybe its time for people like Rush, Glenn Beck, Ann Coulter etc. to throw a brick at Obamas glass window, to publicly announce to millions the question of Obamas eligibility and to demand the real PROPER certificates and lay down the law of the Constitution.

I agree with Rush that it’s time for conservatives to adopt a take-no-prisoners attitude. Republicans have been nice guys for too long. For example, the Eisenhower and Nixon administrations retained a large number of holdovers from previous Democratic administrations who sandbagged conservative initiatives and promoted liberal policies, and although the Republicans ran Congress during most of this decade, the Democrats seemed to run the show. When we return to power, we should use it to the max.
