Obama has already topped Bush in media relations (BARF alert)
MarketWatch ^ | 1-19-09 | John Friedman

Posted on 01/18/2009 11:35:44 PM PST by Justaham

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) - Good riddance, Dubya. The most telling aspect of President George W. Bush's treatment of the media is that his incoming successor, Barack Obama, has already eclipsed the nation's 43rd chief executive in relations with journalists.

Obama has (smartly) reached across the media divide to listen to conservative journalists and show them some measure of respect. It's hard to imagine that Obama would truly embrace the views of Bill Kristol, the journalist who was an early champion of Sarah Palin and has espoused classic right-wing views. But Obama is, at least, giving an audience to his critics, much as President John Kennedy once did.

...it’s easy when you and the media think alike and hang out in the same circles...

LOL. Kristol, though often (and early) right on the issues, mostly re foreign policy, is nothing close of being the standard bearer for Conservatism.

Weren’t we told that the reporters covering Obama’s campaign - the one’s that know him best - grew to dislike him and his need for secrecy, his tardiness and his general obliviousness in terms of how much they were willing to assist in his election?

“reached across the media divide” Is he insane? what media divide? This guy is delusional if he thinks there is a divide between Obama and the media. They are true soul mates. Fellow travelers.

Of course the media are slobbering all over him; idiotic minds attract other idiotic minds.

When you look up the word ‘sycophant’ in the dictionary, it shows a photo of John Friedman (the author of this laughable fantasy piece). Friedman’s cluelessness is emblematic of the willful blindness of the true believer. Even as it is becoming increasingly clear to anybody blessed with clear-thinking that Obama is dragging the media around like a kid who pulls a stuffed doggie-toy through the mud at the end of a short leash, reality can not make a dent in the obeisance of the faithful acolytes. Friedman and his ilk will continue to sing the praises of the ‘Mighty O’ even as the presstitutes’ own freedoms are trampled.

This fool is certifiably insane. No one with such wild levels of delusion should be allowed anywhere near a keyboard.

The Media have been attacking President Bush since he was elected, with rare exception. As for the Obama love-fest,I have never seen such an orgy of starry-eyed worship, especially not of a live human being.

It rivals any religious fervor anywhere, any time. and the whirling dervishes of the media spin for Barry.

I just read an article (I think it was yesterday) in which the press was complaining about 0’s accessibility...even though they’re on the same train, they’ve been banished to the “back of the train.”

I saw this clown’s article first thing this morning. Allegedly, he’s the “media reporter” for Marketwatch.com. Back three years ago when I started the Dinosaur Media DeathWatch™ threads, I used to read his stuff every once in a while. I no longer bother with him. He’s circling the bowl along with a lot his contemporaries.

Just check out North Korean videos on you tube and you will see the same phenomena. Albania used to be another good one to watch glassy eyed adulation.

LOL...lately, even the Chinese and Russian media show a bit more critical thinking than that of the US media

Media relations? That’s a nice phrase for Propaganda.

Which Obambi czar is in charge of the Department of Propaganda?
