Living in ObamaNation. Grassfire.org sets one million member goal for resistance by 1/20/2009

The Resistance States:

As an American citizen, while I will show respect to President-elect Obama, I oppose the far-Left and socialistic elements that comprise the centerpiece of his agenda. I recognize that it will take a patriotic and resilient Citizen Resistance to block implementation of this agenda and I join with others who oppose these threats to our liberties.

Specifically, I Resist:

1. Socialistic wealth redistribution including any and all tax increases and big-government welfare programs.

2. Open border anarchy including amnesty for illegal aliens and promotion of multi-nation “unions”.

3. Weakening of our military through rapid pullback from Iraq, defunding our troops and overall disarmament.

4. Liberal court activism that undermines faith, family and liberties while expanding government control.

5. Environmental extremism, the CO2 tax, undermining coal and nuclear, and bans on exploration.

6. Silencing conservatives through the Fairness Doctrine and other efforts that restrict free speech.

7. Government-run health care that weakens our system and imposes more tax burdens on citizens.

8. Social liberalism including radical pro-abortion agenda, the end of marriage and the homosexual agenda.

9. Post-American globalism that diminishes our global role and threatens our national sovereignty.

10. Weakening the 2nd Amendment through unconstitutional gun laws that take away or penalize us for owning firearms and our right to defend our family, our property, and ourselves.

From the website:

255,647 Resisters
744,353 needed by Inauguration Day
47 days to Inauguration Day

Nothing here I can't agree with.

As an American citizen, while I will show respect to President-elect Obama,

I don't want to quibble, but there is no such thing as The Office of the President Elect. I will show respect for the Office of POTUS but will never respect this manchild dilettante who is beholding only to his eminence grice handlers.

And that isn't until 1/20.

Barry should move to the UK and run for Prime Minister. The new PM takes office the day after the election in the UK.

I am sure he would be eligible....him being a Kenyan an' all.

This article reminds me....1/20/09 is a Tuesday. What if conservatives initiated a plan for that day. While there are 2million in D.C. for the coronation, perhaps we could organize something significant that we can each do in person to show our strength. What would it look like? Suggestions?

What if we targeted a company, mission, charity, etc. to do something for? For example - what if we targeted that day to buy something made in Alaska? What if we all shopped at WalMart? What if we didn't go to work - had blue flu? What if we all gave to the Salvation Army? Just a thought....

We SHOULD have a plan. Something coordinated and VERY VISIBLE.

Demonstrations at every state capitol in the US?

Stealing a cape and hiding in a cave does not make you Batman. Barry Whoeverheis will never be the legitimate POTUS. Never. I don't care how many of his winged monkey servants want to pretend that he is, he isn't.

Excellently stated.

What if we all mailed bright yellow post cards that asked Barack to “please show the American people his birth certificate” to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave on or about the 17th?

Apparently the mods have removed this thread from Activism (?) and are not letting me add a new topic, so you’re free to make suggestions!

All of us could manage to get to a local ABC, CBS, NBC etc. affiliate which are in all out towns and protest because the media just elected this president! Until something is done with this media, nothing changes.

Well, I was actually thinking of some behavior that wouldn't resemble what the Left did to Bush. In fact, I was thinking of something positive (or at least neutral) that could spread throughout the country....so much of which is red. (Even if everyone wore RED armbands that day.)

It should be a statement that puts across a message that despite the fact that we didn't vote for Obama, we refuse to give up on our beloved country. Therefore, it should be something that benefits the U.S.

If Gov. Palin is invited to the inaugration, since she is governor, she very well might be invited. Perhaps she could stage a rally or some type of event of her own someplace in or near DC. That would drive the MSM wild.

This is a bump to all the ping lists I maintain (plus a handful of other FReepers), but it’s off topic, so feel free to express anger and disgust toward me. Thanks.

1. Close down the Department of Education.

2. Stop ALL funding to ACORN, any affiliates, PBS, NPR, the arts.
