Celente has been very accurate in the past, and predicts a Revolution, food shortage, the USA becoming an undeveloped country, and even more depressing goodness. Being unbiased, and his record of accuracy makes this forecast frightening.
Our problem is competitiveness not trade agreements. Obviously trade agreements are complex documents that can be improved. Other countries have many legitimate complaints about our trade practices also. We have so many policies that make our goods and services less competitive. Unfortunately, rat control of government will make our economy much less competitive.
Trade wars will be bad news for our economy and the world economy. Trade wars will mean lower economic output worldwide. Demand for government bonds will fall leading to inflation. Foreign investment will fall leading to higher unemployment. You are mistaken to cheer a trade war. Nothing good will become of a trade war.
It's not the natural resources that count....it's the liberty to use them. If it was merely a matter of natural resources, sub-saharan africa, which is replete with oil, gold, diamonds and all sorts of rare minerals, lumber and exotic tourist sites would be among the wealthiest regions on earth.
Obama is in WAY over his head. Our world became more dangerous when he was elected.

In my newspaper today, there is an article about parents who had well paying jobs having to put their children in public schools because of financial problems and job losses. The article stated that parents will sacrifice vacations, new cars, etc., so their kids can go to private and parochial schools, so it’s pretty bad, and my area is supposed to be pretty affluent.
He has riots and revolution correct. The riots will start in the inner cities and the revolution will be sparked when the courts overturn proposition 8 in Calif.
Remember that we were in an economic down-turn when the terrorists hit us. They thought that in our weakened condition, it would bring us down then. It didn’t.
That is exactly why they will do it again when we are in one of the worst situations we have ever found ourselves, due to the excesses of this current government.
Our Military has never been weaker, with a Trillion Dollars having already been loaned for us to bail itself out, a 2 Trillion Dollar Deficit and American morale completely going down the pipe to the sewage facility.
Watch it happen within the next year or so. But Obama HAS to take office first in January before it happens. In the mean time, I am making preparations to protect my personal holdings and am staying out of debt.

The sheeple have been voting in the same ' ole same ' ole into power year after year. Whether it be democrat or republican, there is NO appreciable difference in either party.
Republicrats all.

In this case the problem of overspending solves itself quite decisively. This is of course a true financial armageddon! Thanks for the insight. I am planning for the worst and seeing where we go day to day.
