Hmmm, why does Obama think that voting for him "is a leap from the American people"? Is he not-too-subtly pinning his problems on his racist countrymen? Or is he referring to legitimate anxieties Americans might have about their president meeting with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad without preconditions?

I pass a group of intersection protestors every Sunday around noon. It’s the typical anti-war crowd, yet lately, additional racial signs have been added to the mix. The drivers at this giant intersection politely ignore them and I think they are hurting their cause more than generating support or votes. Signs like this only bring people to anger: “Bush Ignores Vets” “Troops out Now” “American’s Still Racist” and “Racists for McCAIN” “Stop Racism””Bush Destroys the Environment” “Bush Cheney Impeach” and lots of global warming crap.
They must feel good doing this because I doubt it brings anyone to their cause. Who wants to read the hate stuff or insulting accusations of racism. They unknowingly drive Independents from their corner. I hope their signs and chants become more obnoxious and further damages their campaign as time rolls forward!
Go to russia or mexico, or venezuela. Then maybe they will have a different outlook on the country that puts up with their crap. Because I guarantee, those countries will not.
The general public will reject this race-baiting intimidation. Ultimately they will (are) alienate the independents as this is the group of voters they’re supposed to be appealing to. Instead they’re too dumb to see that calling names only serves to inflate their own egos and weaken their position.
