Finally some semblance of sanity may be creeping into the American mindset.
We bitch and moan about paying five dollars for a gallon gas while we sit in line and wait to pay five dollars for 16 ounces of coffee.

Where will people go for their bitter, over priced, lousy coffee? Starbucks coffee is awful.
To: rockinqsranch
There are 2 Starbucks each within a 5 minute drive from my office...what makes me avoid them is that they charge you for wireless (ok, so they DON’T charge you for it, but you have to pay someone else for it.)
I’d rather drive a little longer to the sole It’s A Grind close to me...better tasting coffee, and FREE wi-fi!

600 Starbucks is equal to approximately 12 Starbucks per state. I’d bet that a couple hundred could close in CA alone and few people would notice. Here in the Phoenix area, I can be at a Starbucks anywhere in town in about ten minutes. Sbux just overbuilt and the increasing price of fuel has made a lot of people think twice about paying the same amount for a gallon of gas as a frappucino. Having said that, I had five frappucinos five days in a row a couple of weeks ago when my kids were in VBS, and I had to drive them to church early every morning. They’re icy cold, yummy, and I felt like treating myself.

Mystery source, the links don't work and the brain-dead poster hasn't given us a STATE where this is from.
Curious that so many people aren't aware that Free Republic is a world-wide forum
Still don't know what the @*@#($&@*!) "inland" means.

Being the inland empire, Starbucks could not tolerate mullets or Pendleton shirts as much as it could piercing.
What is so "Imperial" about a friggin desert with tract housing anyway?
