No second chance? Can Earth explode as a result of Global Warming?
NU Journal of Discovery, Vol 3, May 2001 ^ | May 2001/October 2004 | Dr Tom J. Chalko

Posted on 06/18/2008 7:45:10 PM PDT by CedarDave

Abstract: The heat generated inside our planet is predominantly of radionic (nuclear) origin. Hence, Earth in its entirety can be considered considered a slow nuclear reactor with its solid ”inner core” providing a major contribution to the total energy output. Since radionic heat is generated in the entire volume and cooling can only occur at the surface, the highest temperature inside Earth occurs at the center of the inner core. Overheating the center of the inner core reactor due to the so-called greenhouse effect on the surface of Earth may cause a meltdown condition, an enrichment of nuclear fuel and a gigantic atomic explosion.

Summary: Consequences of global warming are far more serious than previously imagined. The REAL danger for our entire civilization comes not from slow climate changes, but from overheating of the planetary interior.

Life on Earth is possible only because of the efficient cooling of the planetary interior - a process that is limited primarily by the atmosphere. This cooling is responsible for a thermal balance between the heat from the core reactor, the heat from the Sun and the radiation of heat into space, so that the average temperature on Earth’s surface is about 13 degrees Celsius.

This article examines the possibility of overheating and the ”meltdown” of the solid planetary core due to the atmospheric pollution trapping progressively more solar heat (the so-called greenhouse effect) and reducing the cooling rate of the planetary interior.

The most serious consequence of such a ”meltdown” could be centrifugal segregation of unstable isotopes in the molten part of the spinning planetary core. Such segregation can ”enrich” the nuclear fuel in the core to the point of creating conditions for a chain reaction and a gigantic atomic explosion. Will Earth become another ”asteroid belt” in the Solar system?

It is common knowledge (experiencing seasons) that solar heat is the dominant factor that determines temperatures on the surface of Earth. Under the polar ice however, the contribution of solar heat is minimal and this is where the increasing contribution of the heat from the planetary interior can be seen best. Rising polar ocean temperatures and melting polar ice caps should therefore be the first symptoms of overheating of the inner core reactor.

While politicians and businessmen debate the need for reducing greenhouse emissions and take pride to evade accepting any responsibility, the process of overheating the inner core reactor has already begun - polar oceans have become warmer and polar caps have begun to melt. Do we have enough imagination, intelligence and integrity to comprehend the danger before the situation becomes irreversible? There will be NO SECOND CHANCE...

Well, now, let's see what we have here. This clown says that the Earth might blow up if the surface warms up a bit. Between 1,000 and 1,300 the Earth was warmer than it is today. Evidence: Greenland was then a crop-growing area then, which supported Viking farmers.

And, the Earth's core was warmer then, than it is today, since the Earth as a whole is expelling heat from its core to its surface. So, if you know a little geological history, you know that this Ph.D. is lying through his teeth.

Glad I could be of help.

From the other article:

Dr Tom J. Chalko lives in Mt Best, Victoria, Australia. He holds PhD in laser holography since 1979 and MEngSc in engineering since 1975. From 1982 to 2001 he was an academic at the University of Melbourne, Australia. He enjoys a good health, that he has restored himself in 1994 from quite a miserable state. He plays classical guitar exceptionally well, enjoys windsurfing (he calls himself a speed addict here), takes time to practice meditation, telepathy and astral travel. His hobbies include challenging paradigms and paradoxes in geophysics, studying puzzling properties of electro-photonic glow (Auras) using Kirlian camera, learning to see human aura, discovering purpose of life, as well as organizing controversial seminars.

Very scary.

Of course, the writer neglected to mention that our neighbor planet, Venus, has endured REAL runaway global warming caused by an example of REAL greenhouse effect. Whereas the average global temperature on the earth is 13 Deg. C (per the article), on Venus its probably closer to 600 Deg C for the average temperature. And it's been the hot for billions of years - Velokofsky not withstanding.

But this guy seems worried that the temperature of the earth might increase by maybe 1 or 2 degree centigrade - in 100 years - what most of the global warming panic stricken twits are worried about. Still somewhat less than 600 Deg. C, we could all agree.

The writer also neglected to mention that Venus somehow has never managed to blow up in all those billions of years, either.

I guess we're not scaring children enough anymore, predicting one Deg. Celsius of temp rise. So let's just up the ante slightly to blowing up the planet.

Complete bunk. Venus, our next door neighbor and closest planet in size to the earth (almost identical) has an atmosphere 90 times ours and almost totally comprised of co2. Its temperature is 900 degrees Fahrenheit (day and night). If it hasn’t exploded, we sure won’t either.

A PhD in holography? That's like having a PhD in knitting. And as someone who's made plenty of holograms in the past, I ought to know! It's a simple process. When I was making them, our most important tool was a string with a knot in it for measuring out distances.

Thanks for linking this to the earthquake article by this moonbat that I posted.

The REALLY scary point is that the earthquake article has been picked up by AP and it appears on the CBS tech news page (Today's Quakes Deadlier Than In Past) where it will be read by a few as gospel who know not that he is a first-rate nut. And though some will recognize him for the quack he is, others will believe him and say again its necessary to take drastic steps to alleviate "global warming."

Garbage. The earth's internal heat isn't due to an ongoing fission reaction, like it were a slow A-bomb. It's from random decay of a variety of elements.

Can anyone show that added heat overcomes some threshold needed for decay?

Here’s what I posted about this topic on another thread:

Even the UN IPCC (the embodiment of the much-vaunted “scientific consensus”) didn’t predict this nonsense. The “IPCC Fourth Assessment Report: Working Group II Report: “Impacts Adaptation and Vulnerability” does not have anything at all to say about climate affecting earthquakes. There is one mention of earthquakes — where they might lead to cooling. The whole report is here.

For a quick search look at the index.

These twits are making this up as they go along.
