The original was great. Think Nick Cage is very cool. Would be quite surprised if he didn’t post here.

I saw the first movie. I think people just enjoy an action movie where the good guys fight the bad guys and the good guys win.
You’d think that was a simple enough formula, but Hollywood these days prefers shades of gray and/or perversity.

My wife and I saw it Friday night. I did not think that it was as good as the first movie, and I did not like the cheap shots that it took at the U.S. South, with Gates lecturing at the beginning of the story about southern “extremists” (very loaded word in todays Islamic terrorism context) operating against the North in 1865 and Wilkinson’s character being described as a VMI graduate and mercenary. Moreover, Wilkinson and all his henchmen had noticeable southern accents. Typical Hollywood slam against anything southern in today’s America.

Isn’t he a flaming liberal? Or am I thinking of most of Hollywood?

How was the Goofy short?
I heard it was really old school and just wonderful.
It was suppose to be released with Enchanted (the second best movie of the year) but they wanted to give it “more exposure”. Like duh!

A group of people from the losing side of the war plotting to kill the President who preserved the union? I’d call them extremists. The word has other uses than just for terrorists.

The Goofy short was hilarious and well-overdue. To tell the truth, I’ve been in his very situation before while trying to buy and install a new home theater system. :)

We just saw National Treasure and loved it. Hillary is asking Bill about the President’s Book of Secrets. Now she has more motivation to get elected.

All the moonbats in full force because of the ‘Knights of the Templar.’ They whole heartily believe that they are descendants of Jesus Christ because of His marriage to Mary Magdalene...just another cult.

My dad used to say the same about Goofy learning to play golf.

It’s very satisfying that Walk Hard, which tried to sell itself with a trailer that featured a Christian minister getting punched in the face as a big laugh-getter, has utterly bombed. A $4.1 opening weekend for a major studio release is an absolute disaster.
