Barry Bonds' 757th home run was another tape measure job. Soaring above and beyond the right field bleachers and splash landing in the SF Bay's McCovey Cove. The ball was swiftly plucked from the murky bay waters and saved by a local kayaker.
A day earlier Bonds broke the HR record with a rocket to the deepest part of AT&T Park.
How can this guy still be hitting tape measure shots on a regular basis? He's old and clean. They say steroids are responsible for his success but that is clearly not the case now. Like GWB says, the man can hit a baseball.

Thought this was about a plane crash. Don’t think a 757 would even fit in McCovey Cove...

Thought this was about a plane crash. Yeah that was the hook. Not many takers, though.
Maybe I'll try again at 767. :~>

Babe Ruth broke the record as a drunk, Hank Aaron broke the record living clean and Bond has broken it by getting all pumped up on steroids, but also as one of the most despised players to ever pick up a bat. Not an easy feat for any of them.

And the proper way of denoting it is:

In the middle of all this controversy you think he is not? I haven't heard that from anybody else.

Pete Rose never cheated to earn his Major records and as a matter of fact, neither did Orenthal James Simpson who has not been kicked out of the Pro Football Hall of Fame for what he might very well have done after his retirement.

After so many years, the horns start looking like a halo. Back when Hank Aaron broke the record, fans hated him, but not because he was a speed freak.

Here's a list for you to pick a home run record holding saint from. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20170268/
It all looks like a bunch a guys that should have been doing real work for a living instead of playing a game. It's hard to believe that a bunch a guys riding buses around the country side just to put food in their mouths turned into a small army of Spanish speaking millionaires.

Well said. My point is that Hank admitted to pursuing chemical help to bump his stats up. Had he known about or had the chemistry from today available to him. IMHO, based on Hanks past behaviour he would have went down that road- and probably smacked another 143 homers.
