Daniel James Roosevelt Nolen
Cutest liberal born baby I've ever seen.
I suspect his parents may become more conservative.
My son will never tell me but I can already tell it.
I'm afraid all newborns look to me like Winston Churchill - but maybe I'm biased!
Where do the kids live?
Congratulations!
WooHoo!! For YOU!!!
Congratulations, let the spoiling begin!
Remember: Parents have to say no. Grandparents get to say yes.
Congratulations!
I guess that becoming a parent for the first time will have some effect on your sons view of the world.
I was never able to have children of my own but Ive been an Aunt 3 times and recently a Great Aunt for the 5th time!
The best thing about being an Aunt, Great Aunt or Grandmother, is you get to spoil them rotten and then send them home to Mom and Dad! LOL!
Recently my one of my nieces and her husband asked me to be with them in the delivery room. We are very close and I was very honored.
Things didnt go according to plan however, when after more than 30 hours of hard labor; the doc decided it was time for a cesarean.
At first there was some question if Id be allowed in the OR, but my niece and her husband told the doctor that they wanted me there and he said OK.
It was a beautiful and amazing experience. Dads job was to keep his wife calm and my job was to also keep her calm and take pictures.
The doctor and the nurses were so wonderful and I took a lot of great pics, the best being the one of the doctor pulling her out with the baby (Melanie Elizabeth) taking her first very first breath. And was the third person in this world, after mom and dad, to hold her in my arms, our familys latest addition.
I already have plans on how I will spoil her rotten, just like her big sister and her cousins.
Roosevelt?
A family name, I hope!
Congrats!
Congratulations! I’m very happy for you and the parents.
Gtpssy,
Remember, tell your son: “If you aren’t nice to me after I babysit little Daniel, the kid goes home with a belly full of highly sugared expresso and a new puppy!”
Actually, he is named after FDR! :-)
They live in mid Missouri.
Congratulations! I became a first-time Grandpa last night, so we’re a matched set.
Congrats. In my experience, if one lives in an area that has both red & blue voters the kids tend to see the merits of conservative values and those in red states may never do so.
The NE is full of red diaper babies, hence my question.
I have 2 children who are younger than my 3 grandkids.
Best of Luck to you.
Don’t forget the set of drums.
Mine are 9 & 12 now. They're a lot of fun. But they do treat grandmothers and grandfathers different their their own parents....like we're really, really old...
Because of my profession, I have a somewhat different bond...What 12 year old GIRL comes home and calls grandma to tell her that she was the only one in class who knew what the Pythagorem Theory was.
At about age 7, my grandson, after listening to a lecture on power and gravity (as related to airplanes), grabbed the globe off the table and said: "Are you telling me that we are standing on this?"
You're in for some exciting experiences and some great hugs.
You are wonderfully blessed!!!!

The smart one.
