Giuliani’s Pro-Choice Stand: Abortion Cuts Dem Voters

(2007-05-10) — Rudy Giuliani this week plans to come out of the closet as the first openly pro-choice presidential candidate among leading Republicans, boldly making the case to conservatives that abortion “may be the GOP’s most effective electoral tool,” according to campaign insiders.

“Abortion disproportionately kills off blacks, the poor and those who live in metropolitan areas that are traditional Democrat strongholds,” said an unnamed Giuliani campaign source. “While pro-life Republicans hate to see anyone chopped up and yanked from the womb, knowing that it affects mostly liberals may make Rudy’s pro-choice stand more palatable.”

Top campaign aides reportedly believe that standing strong for abortion rights also reinforces Mr. Giuliani’s reputation as the “law and order” candidate and as “America’s mayor,” a moniker he earned for his courageous reaction to the 9/11 terror attacks. His communication team plans to integrate all of these messages into a single “holistic red state pro-choice strategy.”

“Here’s the guy who got the thugs and bums off of the streets as mayor of New York City,” the source said. “We believe we can make a solid case that his support for abortion prevents future criminals and homeless people from ever seeing the light of day.”

In addition, while Mr. Giuliani intends to tread lightly around the still-sensitive issue of the World Trade Center attacks, his campaign plans to float the idea that the 9/11 victims themselves might have preferred a quick, early death by abortion rather than to be brutally cut off in the prime of life by terrorists.

If these appeals to conservatives fail to gain traction, the campaign’s “Plan B” calls for positioning Mr. Giuliani as a libertarian civil rights icon, boldly fighting for euthanasia for the unborn, “who can’t speak up for their own right to die.”

While I believe it is true, that the Democrats are killing off their own constituents because of abortion, the thought still sickens me.

I think his gift is making the first two or three paragraphs seem like real news then, when he has me hooked, he drops the anvil!

With a few minor changes, it could be true.

>To paraphrase Ott: Abortion kills off blacks, poor and and potential democrat voters.<

What an outrageous conclusion, but typical of the shallow thinking of too many Americans today! That we would vote for RG because of the above listed reasons is insupportable reasoning! Most pro-life supporters are Christians, who believe in the sanctity of life. Even that of blacks, the poor, and democrat voters!
Ott is obviously not a Christian!

Mr Giuliani added: “And besides, my backers at Planned Parenthood abortoreums deserve to make a few bucks suctioning out those stupid women who get themselves knocked up.”

You mean the site where the members swear that there aren't any hidden threads, even though they have members who have been banned EVEN THOUGH THEY'VE NEVER POSTED ANYTHING THAT IS VISIBLE?

I argued with one of the Juliebots, now probably at WA, making these exact same arguments. But he was quite serious. It was all chillingly reminiscent of the eugenicists and the Nazis.

I remember a debate or two on FR along those lines. That is what is scary about this Scrappleface column - for some Rudybots, this ain’t satire. They buy into the Sangeristic eugenics.
