Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."
Oh, you are right. Then we are stuck with her?
I'd think at 105 temp putting the body into ice could bring on a heart attack.
Times change --- I just can't bring myself to tell you the number of years that have passed since our daughter was three....lol.
I'm trying to remember, but isn't rubbing alcohol better for bringing the temps down?

Many years ago...when I was small...our family doctor still made house calls. I can remember several times having tonsilitis and Dr. White showing up with pennicillin. My parents and the doc would soak baby diapers in alcohol mixed in cold water and wrap me up.
Perhaps they were trying to kill me! I'm starting on a new conspiracy, now. :-(

LOLLL BUT if Daniel preceded her in death and the will says nothing about "should he precede me in death..." then "he" gets nothing and it is up for grabs.

During that interview after Anna's death, when he was talking and "crying," he sounded just like Susan Smith, the South Carolina woman who killed her two boys by driving her auto into a lake while the children slept in their car seats.
It is depressing to watch regular news these days.
You're right and I still remember the day I saw that interview, I called my sister and said that woman is lying and I think she had something to do with her children disappearing... you can always tell someone is lying, even if they appear to be crying, when they look down and won't look people in the eyes. It's why I knew Scott Peterson was lying, too.
Agreed - I think from what I've seen that Larry Birkhead was the only person in Anna's life who truly loved her - for her.
I read her will and if Daniel dies before ANS then her monies etc go to her estate. There would have to be a clause in her will that says that if Daniel preceded her in death then his part goes to his children (or estate). I did not see anything like that. I believe this is why HKS is fighting so hard - as "daddy" to the baby. I have had wills done for our mother in law etc and ourselves and there is always a clause there so you can accomodate the child's beneficiaries if so desired. Our sister in law, who thought her oldest daughters son was "it" (she basically raised him and not very good I might add) had her will written that way. Daughter had died of cancer and she wanted Lionel to get her daughter's part. Had to write it that way. I guess it boils down to if the beneficiary dies before the one whose will is in question, then "his" part is up for grabs.
