Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."

I do agree with you that he also controlled her to some degree... but I think they used each other but his ultimate goal was for her to feel from him like he felt for her. He was "in love" with her and wanted a romantic relationship. She saw him as her lawyer, her protector, her lap dog, and very good friend.
And yes... it is simple for HKS to allow the DNA tests. He and she were trying to hide something. Anna was probably worried that Birkhead would get custody because of Anna's track record.

You know, maybe he was old and lonely and she filled a void in his last year of life and she was young and lonely and he gave her security.... very sad.

yes
I had double ear infections and got Vicodin a while back. I had to take 2 at a time because I was in so much pain. I was healing up and out of habit (not that kind! LOL) I took 2. OMG. I couldn't sleep because I kept thinking people were breaking into our condo. We live on the 2nd floor of a secure building. I pictured them wearing the black masks over their eyes and the black and white striped shirts with big sacks over their shoulders to cart away all our valuables (haha!).
After the vicodin wore off I was fine and went right to sleep. The next day I switch to Advil. :-)
I'm sure he found her enchanting and why not? He was old and if she made his last years happier, GOOD for him.
My husband did that after he had surgery, too. You tough guys! LOL! ;-)

I guess, at the point, it will depend on the upcoming election in the Bahama's -- the minister that had his palms greased is already in political trouble over this, it's his family who have/had the baby ... it will depend of who pays the most money to the right people there, too.
