Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."
Benzodiazepines are usually a secondary drug of abuse, used mainly to augment the high received from another drug or to offset the adverse effects of other drugs.

addiction to prescription painkillers such as OxyContin, MS Contin Suboxone (Buprenorphine), Methadone, Vicodin, Darvocet, Percocet, hydrocodone, Tramadol or any other opioid
Howard K. Stern, keeper of the Methadone.
She went out like Belushi!
Of course, the Hard Rock Hotel will be famed for years to come...
I sure don't. But that is really creepy.
I don't know anything at all about Anna Nicole's family - didn't pay any attention to her in any way, shape or form except the court fights for the Mashall money (here in town) and then when her son died.
I've seen some tab TV things with her mom begging her to speak to her and ANS saying she's a fat slob she wants nothing to do with. Then tonight our local TV news talked with a half-sister, Donna Hogan, who lives near here (Splendora) who hasn't seen her in 10 years.
Nite, sweetie. Get your thinking cap on and get Google King busy! :-)
Suspicion:
ANS unresponsive = Narcan.
Anyone who knew the name would not have to see any bottles, but it would be SOP especially with a young person anyway.
CBS: Investigators found illegal narcotics, prescription meds in room...
(CBS) LOS ANGELES CBS 2 has learned that while searching Anna Nicole Smith's hotel room late Thursday afternoon investigators found two key pieces of evidence -- illegal narcotics and prescription medications.
Nothing would be sweeter than the nurse and bodyguard pointing the finger at Stern. Justice for ANS.
So sad, she was so pretty and I just find this very sad. I hope her baby will be ok. First her son, then she dies, I have to wonder if there is foul play. She had people in her life that were not good for her. Like the son of the man she was married to before, and that Howard K. Stern jerk.
It just stinks to high heaven that it might not be from being sick or drugs she did to herself. Just a gut feeling of course.
Well, if Sterns drafted her will, he can't be a beneficiary. Unless he's her legal husband. And they just had a commitment ceremony, right?
Also, just how much money did she have? I got the idea that she was broke. She had a claim for her elderly husband's millions, but that was far from settled.
As for the baby, rest assured that the baby is safe for awhile IF Sterns' only motive is to use her as a conduit for the potential millions. In most jurisdictions you have to survive for a certain period (three months) before you can take what you inherit. If you don't survive, it's as if you preceased the decedent. IOW, if Daniellyn doesn't survive for xx days, then anything she would have received from ANS's estate would pass as if Daniellyn had died before ANS did.
I just saw that the autopsy will be done in Fort Lauderdale, but nothing more than that.
Oh, wait, here:
" ... Dr. Joshua Perper, the chief Broward County medical examiner who will perform the autopsy, said if her death was from natural causes, the findings would likely be announced quickly. He cautioned, however, that definitive results could take weeks. ..."
That answers that.
Smith was born Vickie Lynn Hogan on Nov. 28, 1967, in Houston, one of six children. Her parents split up when she was a toddler, and she was raised by her mother, a deputy sheriff.
She dropped out after 11th grade after she was expelled for fighting, and worked as a waitress and then a cook at Jim's Krispy Fried Chicken restaurant in Mexia.
She married 16-year-old fry cook Bill Smith in 1985, giving birth to Daniel before divorcing two years later.
That's a long one. Sounds like Birkhead's the father, and she had a constant supply of methadone. I never heard of G. Ben Thompson, the real estate investor and that part of the saga before. All very interesting!
Thanks so much!
If Stern wasn't in the room, how did she turn magazine pages or hold a soft drink cup? /sarc
Not personal to you Brandie, you were just the last post I saw:

I'm not trying to nag, just trying to keep things in perspective.
Drudge is reporting details. Yup, that would do it. I once saw a young woman die the same way. Nobody knew what to do. That's a tough way to go, choking on their own vomit.
I say she was so high on a drug cocktail, they OD'd her. The bottles are to suggest suicide.
Alcohol swab would eliminate any evidence of injection.

In my next life, I'm going to look like her and have a guy turn my magazine pages and feed me. She was pretty. Too bad he couldn't help her stop using the drugs.
I just cannot imagine the happiest moment in my life being followed by the most devavstating moment in my life.
It goes without saying she had no support system. What she had was a man who wanted to own her.
