Almost fired for listening to Sean Hannity
ME

Posted on 09/03/2006 8:21:38 AM PDT by ashamedtobefromparkridge

Guys this is going to take the cake.

About 10 days ago at work one of my coworkers was typing away listening to Sean on his radio. (we get it on tape delay)

The supervisor walked by and noted the station that showed up on the digital display.

He berated him for listening to Sean because he is an evil conservative whack job and it offends people around him.

Note he had headphones on so nobody could hear his radio.

And in an office where the leader has a radio on at all times low that we can hear but he has to be able to respond to questions and often has rap on that is offensive to women.

A couple of days later all of the sudden this employee got errors back but without the printout which was mysteriously missing more details. The manager claimed that it was cut off.

I sensed a scam so what I did quietly (I am a step below manager at work) was verify his work myself and then arrange for the manager to verify it after I did.

I found no errors and the manager found at least 5 in each of the batches. Again his computer "was not making the printout"

Reported it to senior management.

Guess who did get fired?

Guess who is the new manager as of Tuesday?

Guess who to take the cake has been promoted to my previous job?

If I hadn't stepped in this guy would have been fired on faked error reports.

And by the way the manager in question had never actually listened to Sean himself. He just heard about him from other liberals.

politics aside, honesty is the best policy. you lie once, you have to lie again and again.

Send this thread to Hannity.

Want to make sure he'll see it?
Have Rush do it on his show.

My Sean Hannity story.

Mrs. Dinasour and I went to Ruth's Chris yesterday. My birthday and our anniversary are within a few days of each other and we usually try to go somewhere nice. So I suggested Ruth's Chris, in no small part because of their advertising on his show.

Mrs. Dinasour is very apolitical. She's no moonbat, just has other interests. On a scale from 1 to 10, I'd rate about a 10 and she'd rate somewhere around 0.

So we set down, and she says, "So this is place Sean Hannity is always talking about".

My mouth drops open, "How the hell do you know who Sean's sponsors are?".

I could have sworn I heard the sound of a harp playing.

It's not hard to spend $100 a person at that place, but it was the best steak that I have ever had.

If you are being sincere, contact Hannity this week and explain the story.

From another of your posts:

If you weren't such a whiny mental age of a 3 year old you'd know the truth is most companies are firing the older people because they make more money.

And for the record I am 38. I worked hard and ironically just Friday was promoted to manager to take over for the 62 year old retiring on October 1st.

So, did he get fired or retire? Heh, and is this the same old guy who likes the woman demeaning rap?

I worked in a place where I was subjected to Pentecostal Christian music in Spanish.
And for some odd reason they listening to Woman sing hymns in KOREAN.
It was the tortures of the damned.
It was a temp job so I didn't have anything to say about it.
Finished the gig.

Worked at U-Haul for a while.
Assistant manager put on one of those "poontang scalliwaggin bitch hoe" stations.
Ample volume.
I told him that if he thinks I am going to listen to THAT all day that he was going to have a very hard day. Cause I'm walking.

Headphones aren't the solution in those sort of work environments.
Safety issues.
So ....what's on the radio tends to be issue.
And cannot have 15-20 radios tuned to 10 different stations.

And when I was in U.S.C.G I was listening to Frank Zappas
"You Are What you Is" a couple of the born agains objected.

A Subway sandwich place in West Seattle.
The person working behind the counter.
Think she was lead cause she talked to other employees pretty tyrannical.
But flapping her eyelashes and smiling at customers.
Switched dispositions in an instant.
But she had the worst kind of gangsta rap allowed to be broadcast on the radio.
Sinister...slow drive by slouched behind the wheel glaring menacingly music.
Soothing music to aid digestion.

Radio can be issue.

Sounds too good to be true. But if you say it's true, I'll have to believe it.

Well, it is quite sad that things like these occur. And I'm sure...all too frequently. So, you are to be commended for exposing the pathetic little scam-artist, and if you hadn't, the many wanna be scam artists in the background would have figured all was okay and proceeded to scam. But the whole point is, one must NEVER sit back and watch injustice take place, for if they do more will soon follow, and it will likely come to the watcher's doorstep...

re tortures of the damned.
It was the tortures of the damned even if I didn't understand the words.
The shouts of "SENOR JESUS CHRISTO SOLO SALVA!!"
and
"HALLEJUYAH!"
from workers only added to tightening of jaw but holding of tongue stress.

I never discuss politics, sports, or religion in any place of business unless it is 100% safe. I'm thinking about the guy next to me not myself. But I've been to places of business where the owner is very political or religious and I've found that his/her rants affect business negatively regardless of party affiliation.

Why piss off half or more of your potential customers/fellow office workers? It's not worth it and Sean/Rush/whomever will not see a penny loss from their wallets while you're looking for a new job, or wondering why you're not promoted.

JMO.

He was not discussing the show or listening to it loudly. He had it on his headphones!

There was more to it than this with this manager. It was the straw that broke the camels back.

You know the difference between a conservative and a liberal?

It is remarkable and news when a conservative writes a book.

What is really unusual and newsworthy is when a liberal reads a book!
