Can tinfoil hats actually prevent the government from reading your thoughts?
Popular Science Magazine, March 2006, page 80-82 | March, 2006 | Amanda MacMillan

Inspired by fringe beliefs that invasive radio signals can probe a citizens' thoughts and that wearing foil on your head may fend them off, an experiment by four Ph.D candidates found that certain frequencies-owned by the Feds naturally-are actually enhanced by such "protection."

Overall, the foil effectively weakend radio waves by up to 10 decibels over most of the frequency spectrum (there were no significant differences among helmet shapes). But at 1.2 and 2.6 GHz-which fall within the band reserved for government satellites, GPS systems and mobile-phone corporations-passage through the foil amplified these waves by 20-30 decibels.

I think you would get the best possible protection if you wore a copper mesh bodysuit.

Nah, the best possible protection would be the tinfoil room...

That does it...

From now on, I'm wearing my tinfoil inside out. That way the amplification effect will be reversed.

Yes. I wear my tinfoil hat all the time and the government can't read my thoughts.

I'm building a Faraday Cage with an aluminum foil wall sandwiched between two layers of copper mesh.

But what about the MIT tests showing that tinfoil hats actually amplify the effects!

Everyone knows the radio waves are to CONTROL your thoughts (and actions), not read them. Sheesh.

Yes, harnessing the power, and mutating into human form..
Or just finding anew and unique way of roasting myself.

I've heard that carbon fiber holds much promise. I just can't seem to get that fishtank stuff to stick to my head.
