NEW YORK, Nov. 22 (UPI) -- Naked parties appear to be the latest fad to streak across East Coast universities, it was reported Tuesday.
After apparently gaining a foothold at Brown and Yale, the fad has caught on at New York's Columbia University, the New York Sun reported.
All the parties have one thing in common -- all articles of clothing are left at the door. Among the reportedly banned items are cameras, masks and "spikey things," the newspaper said.
Students told the Sun the parties are more social than sexual. One Columbia student said he was surprised the trend even caught on at the basically conservative university.
"Columbia students are generally not into the exhibitionist realm," senior Zachary Bendiner said. "Rightfully so, because by and large they aren't terribly attractive."

Must be Halloween, then.

Students told the Sun the parties are more social than sexual. Of course. The whole exercise is to get to know each other's personality, values, interests, intelligence, etc. Clothing tends to inhibit all of that.

Geez, back when I was in school it was radical not to wear socks inside your loafers. Times have changed!

Things sure have changed since we went to school.
We used to go out and get a beer after class. Silly us!

"Spikey things"? Yeah, if spikey things are outlawed at a naked party, well, that would just leave me out, that's all.

It probably makes for great conversation. After all, they say when you give a speech, just picture the people sitting there in their underwear.
I can just imagine how much confidence I would feel.

OK, OK, nobody else has said it yet.
Yes, that's right, it's obligatory:
"This post is useless without pictures."
(Someone said that to me about a Liz Fabiano thread)

You don't want to see pictures. The people who are the most apt to go nekkid are those who look the worst doing it.

Just my luck. I attend Empire State College -- entirely online.
