I just was flipping through the channels and came across room raiders on MTV. I watch it sometimes and it can be entertaining. However, tonight I was uterly disgusted to see an actual gay segment of the program. There were three gay guys who had their rooms raided by another guy. Listen, I am not homophobic. I have no problem with gay people if they keep what they to the privacy of their home. I do have a problem with those gays that try to redefine marriage or in this case push their lifestyle in the public sphere. MTV is a willing culprit. Is there anything we can do to stop this?? I doubt an email campaign would work, but maybe it might be worth it. Any suggestions?
grammer correction in the 4th line that I missed proofreading "if they keep what they 'do' to the privacy...."
I stopped watching MTV after I saw the "Know your rights" sex special with Christina Auguilera. You know, the "Let's get Dirty" singer who publicly admits she loves sex. She told two abstinent young adults that they "gotta test drive the car before you buy it."
Was your remote control broken?
correction in my correction: "grammer" to "grammar"
(for all those freepers that require perfect spelling and grammar!)
Be an adult and don't watch that crap. Some people are just as disgusted by the male/female version of the show.
I had no problem changing the channel, but I still have a problem that the program is out there for younger people to view.
Again, its not me. I know I can easily shut it off, it's the fact that it is out there for young teens to see.
I think most of their viewers were teens in the 80's and have failed to grow up, we call them DUmmies. =o)
The implication is stated subtlely and geometrically.
If Room Raiders is being taken over by Rump Rangers, then look for these commercials to start featuring two men.
What is/are "Room Raiders"?
On the other hand, I gotta say, since I went cold turkey on TV more or less--since 1997 all I watch is the news when I am making a meal or eating; I use my TV to watch DVDs, so no panty-raid shows for me, I get exactly what I want to see, and everything ends up on DVD eventually, without commercials and when I want to watch--I have added so much to my life. I've done more, had more conversations, read more. I think if you add it up, since 1997 I've probably gotten the equivalent of six months to a year of extra time.
I don't know about you, but I can think of about 1000 things I'd rather do than watch Room Raiders.
you call that subtle??
I've always been somewhat amused at the line "as long as they keep what they do in the privacy...." the fact is kids, they don't, they never do...they not only push it in our faces, but try to teach it in our schools..and worse than that, they have unleashed one of the worst epidemics on mankind.. Add that to the simple fact that it's an abomination before God.... even if you're an atheist, you can't deny the harm they've done society..
So what channel are they allowed to be on?
It's one of those dating shows where three guys are taken out of their homes while a girl comes in and checks out their cribs and makes her choice on that. (or three chicks and a dude.)
I bet when it's a girl going through three guys' rooms to choose, I bet she looks around to try and figure out who's got more cash, who's got nicer jewelry on the nightstand, etc.
Not a knock towards the ladies out there, I just associate that type of woman with MTV in general.

Damn guy, you really need to get out of your little safe world.. Gay people exist, and simply because the idea of it offends you, doesn't mean they have to live in seclusion and shame.
Think about it a little...what if being heterosexual was regarded in the same way as being gay today. How would you feel if you were not able to live your life, and express your feelings simply because who you are offends others? So...for the sake of our future society, open your mind, and stop promoting homophobia.
welcome to fr.. I hope your stay is short.
