One Huge Crocodile
Bruce R. Dwyer Fort Sill, OK ^ | January 25, 2005 | Calpernia

Posted on 01/25/2005 8:50:25 AM PST by Calpernia

This crocodile was on the beach in front of the Petroleum club, Plage Sportive in Pointe Noire (Republic of Congo) . 21 FT long, 4,500 lbs, around 80 years old minimum.

Specialists said that he was looking to eat humans because he was too old to catch animals.

For the past few months in some villages close to Pointe Noire people were complaining that some people in their villages have been disappearing, could be this crocodile?

This crocodile was killed by the army last Sunday at 3:00 pm, currently he is in the freezer at the Azur hotel.

Well, the poor thing was getting old and it was harder to feed himself. And PETA would certainly have approved his change in diet.

I think PETA might try to introduce him to Tofu.

Ever see their new food lines they promote for animas? Yogurt bits, peanut butter snacks and tofu junk?

Unreal.

Wow... he was huge... and old. It's a shame to kill him really.... He's like the big old fish in "On Golden Pond"... He's gotten so big it'd be a shame to kill him. He'd have been a great sight at a zoo... and perhaps we could have learned exactly how long he could have lived.

CRIKEY!
Had to say that. That is a big bastard of a croc, we have a few of those buggers here in Australia.
PETA, aren't they the mob trying to screw Australian sheep farmers?
Should have fed PETA to the croc, better still get them to have a nice swim in one of Australia's crocodile infested lakes. hmmmmmmm Just tell them its Australia's fountain of youth. heheheheheheheeeeee

Oh you are right! I remember that.

Alligator (1980)

Suspense/Horror
A vicious alligator named Ramon, who was flushed into the city sewer as a baby, survives to become a 32-foot-long menace who devours animals and people alike. Ramon's so huge because of the steady diet of dead pets - treated with growth hormones - that he's fed on for 12 years. Now the tremendous brute is angry and looking for revenge. Only detective David Madison knows of Ramon's existence, and it is his task to prove to the rest of the city that a tropical beast lives in their midst. Veteran screenwriter Sayles' script finds the perfect blend of comedy and horror, making this an entertaining romp through the sewers of Chicago.

Weird. I wonder...Do we taste bad or what? Why only eat us when they can't catch other animals? I mean...An easy meal is an easy meal, isn't it?

I agree. On the other hand, I have no idea how you'd capture a beast that size. I'll tell you one thing, though, a zoo would have paid enough for one that size to make it worth a try. I'll bet Steve Irwin gets sick to his stomach when he reads this story. Seriously, that guy really loves these things.
