The Future of Passenger Air Travel in the 21st century

The flight deck of the Airbus A320, using digital fly-by-wire for primary flight controls, side-stick controllers in place of the usual control columns, and six large electronic displays.

Passenger capacity 200, non-stop flight distance 7,595 miles, cruising speed 627 miles per hour, engines 2, width 186 feet, length 182 feet, first delivery 2008 Boeing says its 7E7 Dreamliner will provide new levels of passenger comfort.

Airbus' proposal for a super-capacity airliner with seating configuration for 730 passenger. Red arrows indicate emergency exits.

747s used to have lounges, but they quickly were replaced with seats.
