Dear admin moderators:
Why are some threads zotted, while others are simply and quickly removed? What's the guideline? Because some of us like to have fun with our little trolls before they're dispatched to the netherworld. It just seems there's more "removing" and less "zotting" going on these days.

There seems to be a determination on whether the poster is a moron that we can laugh at, or a true idiot trying to disrupt the forum.

The Admin Mod doesn't want to see Freepers lower themselves to using naughty language against these DU trolls.
Well, we've got things to do. Events to discuss. We can't be weighed down with some desperate trolls. We can poke fan at them next Wednesday.
I guess it depends on just how outrageous the thread? I've seen some classic ZOT threads go on and on. Hilarious stuff. And then some threads get taken down faster than you can say "Zavien Doombringer"...
Just an observation.
I think they zot stuff when they want to have a little fun and they remove stuff when they don't want things to get out of control.
It's the difference between a kitty playing with one dead mouse vs trying to stop 1,000 rats from swarming the house.

Some trolls write extremely inflamatory stuff that should be removed. It could give people the impression that we're nothing but a bunch of rude people.. (look at how democrats have debased Hollywood over the years)...
Others just write lamebrain stuff that's fun to take pot shots at...
heh heh. I don't think I could handle being an Admin Moderator. They have a longer fuse than most of us, I think.
I of course shall bow to the wisdom of MOD, but in the past, I have learned this:
If the troll was a reincarnation, or a serial attacker, then MOD shall ZOT! with speed and wrath.
If the troll was a virgin, or makes a stand, then the Viking Kittens will be allowed to play with their food.
The smae goes with the Knights of the RKBA. MOD smiles upon our quest.

When they leave a ZOT thread up, it's like they decide to open the doors and let in more of that wonderful thunderstorm fresh scent! It's like one of those air ionizers! FR needs the crud blown out every once in a while.
