In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of “word for the day”. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the “word of the day”; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....

prolle (or) prolle \proll\, verb, noun:
prolles, prolling, prolled; transitive verb

To search or prowl after; to rob; to plunder. [Obs.]

But as the pitcher that goeth often to the water cometh at length at home broken, so this lustie youth would not surcease from open catching, forcible snatching, and privie prolling, till time he was by certain gaping groomes that lay in wait for him intercepted fleeing towards his couch, having on his apprehension no more wrong doone him than that he was not sooner hanged on the gallows, through which in his youth and jollitie he was wont to run.'
-- Rev. Nicholas Burton, “Oxmantown and its Environs “, 1845

Etymology [imp. & p. p. Prolled; p. pr. & vb. n. Prolling.]

CG is a redneck exorcist. I'll get some buddys and a keg of beer and some Hank Jr. CD's and we'll cleanse that whole neighborhood of the boogeyman

Colymbosathon ecplecticos means "swimmer with a large penis"

That's "Mr. Ecplecticos" to youse two. Unless of course ecplecticos means "swimmer", in which case y'all, all y'all, or whatever, may address me as Mr. Colymbosathon. When I give you permission to speak to me at all. You're welcome.

How'd ya like my impression of Hillary there? Not bad, huh?

It don't matter if they are a redneck or what. You must determine what they want, you do this by observing when they act up. If noise sets them off, they want quiet. If light sets them off they want dark. If happiness sets them off they want sadness. etc. Then you calmly explain to them that you appreciate their wishes, but it is your house now and time for them to move on to their proper place. Then you tell them if they aren't gone by morning you will begin to give them non-stop what they don't want. Then you test to see if they are there. If they are let the games begin.

I have actually done this on 4 different occasions earlier in my life and it worked every time. Only once did the spirit hang around to fight but left after they saw the promise would be kept. Most spirits aren't evil, just lost and confused.

I can tolerate just about any weather condition - as long as it doesn't include precipitation when I know I'm going to be doing driving.

I'm safe now til Sunday - hubby is in charge of all driving tomorrow and Saturday!!!! Jax and I are going to bake cookies on Sunday, so as long as I have beer in the house - I don't have to go anywhere!!!
